My Hero Academia movie character appearances surprised everyone during the final season, and Studio Bones made sure that their entire narratives established continuity with the main story. Melissa Shield had basically donned the armor of All Might. Rody Soul was cheering from Otheon. The siblings from Shimano were crying during Bakugo's resurrection.

This was not just an Easter egg or whimsical throwaway. Six significant My Hero Academia movie characters made their way to the climactic scene of the end-of-the-final-war battle against All For One and Shigaraki, and they participated in several episodes.

Every My Hero Academia Movie Character Made Canon in the Final Season

1. Melissa Shield

Melissa Shield returned prominently in the first few episodes of the last season. This My Hero Academia movie character from Two Heroes played a major role in All Might's final fight against All For One. The quirkless inventor invented the advanced armor suit that allowed Toshinori Yagi to fight one last time.

The anime clarified her role when All Might talked about where the suit came from in his battle against All For One. Her inventions turned the tide in the last war and showed that a brilliant thinker can be just as much a hero, if not more, than someone with a really strong quirk.

2. Katsuma Shimano

Katsuma Shimano was put in the spotlight alongside his sister at the peak of emotionality during the final season. This shy boy, from Heroes Rising, was crying because he saw Bakugo come back to life. Katsuma's quirk, Cell Activation, was powerful enough to heal Deku and Bakugo after the battle with Nine on Nabu Island.

This season confirms that Katsuma's dream came true; He is now in the Hero Course at U.A. High School eight years after the War. This My Hero Academia movie character represents the next generation of heroes inspired by the sacrifice made by Class 1-A. In the anime, as he cheers for Deku, the man who saved him long ago, it caps the story in the best way.

3. Mahoro Shimano

Mahoro Shimano returned to help the heroes in their darkest hour. In Heroes Rising, this stout girl was not shy about being skeptical of heroes. But, in front of Class 1-A's resolve in fighting, she had a shift and became one of their biggest supporters. Her Hologram quirk allows her to modify our perception of reality, and she used it during the battle against Nine.

She appears as a My Hero Academia movie character now in the main series, showing that character development can extend beyond the movies. The anime was able to convey her emotional investment in that fight.

4. Rody Soul and Pino

Rody Soul made an impact during the global cheering moment of episode 167 of World Heroes' Mission. A character from the My Hero Academia movie expressed concern for Deku. His quirk, named Soul, is represented by Pino, an adorable pink bird, which expresses his feelings.

In the anime, Rody is shown to be absolutely concerned for his friend watching the final battle. Eight years later, the epilogue suggests he achieved his dreams and became a licensed pilot with his cap matching Pino's. Their cameo was also representative of the themes of friendship and perseverance overall.

5. Giulio Gandini

In the final season, we see Giulio Gandini, though not directly, in an evacuation center, looking at the war. He is a My Hero Academia movie character from You're Next, and he was a loyal butler and protector to Anna Scervino. Once, he was able to neutralize Anna's lethal Overmodification quirk with his Neutralization quirk.

Finally, in the final season cameo, Giulio was in casual clothing with Anna, both safely away from the battlefield. The inclusion of Giulio in the anime confirmed the idea that all movie adventures are relevant to this larger story.

6. Anna Scervino

Anna Scervino's inclusion in season seven ultimately confirmed she wasn't a dead character and confirmed she was free. This My Hero Academia movie character from You're Next possessed Overmodification. A quirk that enhanced others' capabilities through touch but inflicted tremendous suffering on the person being modified. Dark Might had used her power and modified even entire cities into weapons.

In the final season, Anna was shown wearing a white dress with Giulio, while the two were also featured watching the heroes' conflict for all their futures. Anna's cameo meant something special because she was rendered quirkless through Giulio's final act when he used his quirk to save Anna from years of suffering. This My Hero Academia movie character symbolizes liberation from suffering and the power of compassion.

The presence of these My Hero Academia movie characters in the final season is a big moment for the franchise. Studio Bones stated that the films all take place in the same universe as the main series. The appearance of every character adds a more emotional layer to the final battle.
