Gachiakuta is ready to start its second cour, and it is louder, grittier, and more ambitious than ever. Studio Bones’ anime adaptation of Kei Urana and Hideyoshi Andou’s dark, high-octane manga is officially kicking off its second cour on October 12, and fans can already feel the heat.

A brand-new trailer just dropped, setting up the chaos ahead and confirming several exciting updates, from a new opening song by Mori Calliope to the introduction of new characters that promise to shake up the story’s power dynamics.

The new Gachiakuta trailer wastes no time reminding viewers why the series has become one of the standout new-generation shonen hits. The tone is intense, the animation crisp, and the action sequences look like they’re about to push Bones’ already stellar visuals to another level.

One of the biggest surprises in the trailer was the reveal of the new theme songs, and fans couldn’t be happier with the choices. The new opening, “LET’S JUST CRASH” by Mori Calliope, instantly became a talking point across anime communities.

Known primarily as a V-tuber and musician under Hololive, Calli has long been a Gachiakuta fan herself, making this collaboration feel personal and authentic. Many fans noted online that Calli and Kei Urana are mutual admirers of each other’s work, so her involvement feels like a full-circle moment.

The preview snippet already showcases her signature blend of rock and rap energy, perfectly matching the rebellious tone of the series. The ending theme, “BAN” by Karanoah, offers a softer yet haunting contrast, melancholic and introspective, reminding viewers that, beneath all the chaos, Gachiakuta is still a deeply emotional story about broken people trying to survive.

The second course also expands the already vibrant cast with four new characters who each bring their own energy and backstory into the mix:

  • Guita: voiced by Maria Naganawa (known for Platelet in Cells at Work!)
  • Noerde: voiced by Mutsumi Tamura (Alice in The Ancient Magus’ Bride)
  • Fu: voiced by Hiro Shimono (Conny Springer in Attack on Titan)
  • Bundus: voiced by Akio Otsuka (All for One in My Hero Academia)

Each casting choice has been met with excitement, especially Otsuka’s inclusion; his deep, commanding voice hints that Bundus will likely play a major role in the new cour’s central conflict.

While the trailer doesn’t show too much about their roles, their designs already stand out, showcasing Kei Urana’s sharp and kinetic art style brought to life by Bones’ animation team.

“So glad there's not a wait. This weekends episode was just wow.” Added another fan.
“👀👀 this gonna be crazy!!!,” stated by another fan.

With a stellar new trailer, powerhouse songs, and a promising lineup of new characters, Gachiakuta’s second cour is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about continuations of the Fall 2025 anime season.

Between its gritty storytelling, emotionally raw character arcs, and Bones’ top-tier production, the series continues to carve out its identity as one of the boldest shonen adaptations in recent memory. October 12 can’t come soon enough, because if there is one thing this trailer makes clear, it is that Gachiakuta is only getting started.
