What to Expect from Gachiakuta Episode 19?

Gachiakuta Episode 19 may address the aftermath of Riyo's shocking actions. Enjin may have heard the gunshots, leading to a discussion about her breaking his no-killing rule. The conflict between survival instinct and moral code will likely take focus.

Zodyl's plans for the Watchman Series remain the largest mystery. His experiment with the egg of the Trash Beast and the boots signifies he is trying to independently create new Watchman Series items. This would be a serious threat to the Cleaners if he is successful.

Rudo's position in regards to Zodyl is still difficult. He has yet to directly refuse Zodyl's proposal for switching sides. His delay produces an uneasy scenario. Guita is near the egg of the Trash Beast, so she could provide an unexpected reality to the story.

Gachiakuta Episode 19 may also address whether Cthoni discovered that Riyo shot Jabber. In her first report, she said Jabber had won the battle, which may mean that she did not see or hear the gunshots. If Cthoni does not know what Ri said, this could become relevant.

Episode 18 featured one of the most subversive moments in battle shonen history. The episode began with Jabber getting shot, but the shooter remained a total mystery until just the right dramatic timing. The built-in misdirection was perfectly fashioned to create great uncertainty throughout.

As for Riyo and Noerde's fight, the shooting sequence showcased some of the most beautiful hand-to-hand combat choreography imaginable. The battle kicked off with the two women completely ditching their Vital Instruments to grappling using pure martial arts. A particularly fantastic choice, Mori Calliope was featured during the sequence with the insert song titled 'Rivals and Equals.'

Ultimately, the biggest twist came when Riyo pulled a gun and shot Norede with no hesitation. The symbolism here is important as we learn that she had a previous history of being a professional assassin, but made a promise to Enjin that she would no longer kill. Clearly, she interprets this promise liberally, as she is not staining her scissors with blood, and lots of other weapons apparently are fair game.

Riyo's violence reached its pinnacle when she came across Jabber applauding his win over Zanka. She blasted him to pieces with an entire magazine. There was zero form of mercy, and the way she maintained her cold expression, and her hair was braided, brought memories from her assassin days. Even with him being shot that many times, she claimed he was just too stubborn to die.

The episode concluded with Zodyl showing his hand with his ultimate goal of producing new Watchman Series entries. He also placed the Watchman boots inside a Trash Beast egg, dragging it into a possible experiment gone wrong. Gachiakuta Episode 19 seems to take off in revealing further deviation from its reach with the plot and the quality of animation.
