Gintama: 3-Z Ginpachi Sensei Episode 6 used the simple premise of Shinpachi and Otae leaving and raised the level of absurdity to extremes. From announcing this news to classmates, heartless Otae, to some extremely complicated Attack on Titan-level family tree, this episode can be described as a total package in the comedy genre.

Fans especially loved Gin asking Zura to leave, too, which immediately spiraled into yet another “Zura ja nai, Katsura da!” moment, only this time, Katsura decided to rap about it. This episode had the return of Katsurap (MC Zuda Kemu) was nostalgic, absurd, and exactly what Gintama fans crave: A total breakdown of logic wrapped in catchy nonsense.

When Shinpachi actually gets a farewell of his dreams, it ends up being either Otae-focused or just average at best. Then, when he finally snaps, it is revealed that it was done on purpose as everyone wanted him to be his usual self and diss all of his friends like he does daily.

Meanwhile, Otae’s savage comebacks and Shinpachi’s tireless straight-man energy anchored the episode. Their chemistry reminded viewers why Gintama’s humor works so well for every unhinged gag, there is always a character reacting like an actual human being (or at least trying to)

Gintama: 3-Z Ginpachi Sensei Episode 7 is shaping up to be another nostalgia-driven romp. This character, known for his overly serious monologues and noir parody aesthetic, was a highlight for some fans, and a drag for others. Still, even those who weren’t fond of his earlier appearances are curious to see how the spinoff handles his exaggerated brooding in a classroom setting.

Given how Ginpachi Sensei has been reviving old gags and side characters with modern polish, fans expect Gintama: 3-Z Ginpachi Sensei Episode 7 to mix self-parody with emotional callbacks.

There is also speculation that the show might poke fun at production quirks again, especially after the reused Takasugi clip in Episode 6 became a running joke among viewers. Many fans are also looking forward to the end credits as they want to see if they will use the same footage again in Gintama: 3-Z Ginpachi Sensei Episode 7 or add something new.

If Gintama: 3-Z Ginpachi Sensei Episode 7 continues this streak, Gintama’s classroom parody may go down as one of the best comedic revivals in anime history. Whether it is another nonsensical farewell, an overly dramatic detective case, or Katsura dropping another rhyme about existential dread, fans can count on one thing: Gintama will always find a way to turn chaos into art.

If Episode 6 proved anything, it is that this series still knows exactly how to make nonsense feel nostalgic, and fans wouldn’t have it any other way.
