Has Tokyo Revengers anime been cancelled? Status of Season 4, explained

Tokyo Revengers is among the most popular anime versions of the manga by Ken Wakui that combines time travel, gang warfare, and emotional stakes. The series, produced by LIDEN FILMS, has thus far aired three seasons: Season 1 in 2021, Season 2 (the Christmas Showdown Arc), and Season 3 (the Tenjiku Arc), both in 2023. The manga itself came to a close at the end of 2022. Considering fan interest and the completion of the source material, the possibility of a fourth season, including whether the anime is cancelled, has remained a subject of inquiry.

Tokyo Revengers is not cancelled. It was confirmed that Season 4 was in production and announced in mid-2025, and will be released in 2026 under the heading of the War of the Three Titans Arc (also referred to as the Santen Sensou Arc in Japanese) in Season 4.

The new season was confirmed by production and promotional material issued by the official channels of the anime on June 22, 2025. One of the trailers presented a visual, the addition of a new cast, and said that the next installment will adapt the Bonten Arc and then the last arc of the manga. Major personnel shifts are the replacement of Koichi Hatsumi with Maki Kodaira in the directorial role, with Yasuyuki Mutou taking up the series composition.

Tokyo Revengers - What We Know About Season 4

The fourth season is officially known as the War of the Three Titans Arc (三天戦争編 / Santen Sensō-hen) and will initially adapt the Bonten Arc before moving on to the Three Deities Arc, introducing the anime to the last saga of the manga. The Bonten Arc spans approximately 21 chapters and is projected to consume around 6-8 episodes, which would enable room to carry the next arc.

The production is started under LIDEN FILMS. As previously noted, Maki Kodaira directs, and most of the voice cast is returning with new ones, such as Mariya Ise as Senju Kawaragi. Staff, character designers, and music composition personnel are all confirmed, with Hiroaki Tsutsumi on music and the design team consisting of Kenichi Ohnuki, Keiko Ota, Airi Tsutsuki, and Kae Takakura.

Confirmation of Tokyo Revengers Season 4 release is only for the year 2026. There is no official confirmation of a particular month or day. There has not been an official release of streaming/licensing information, but previous seasons have been streamed on Hulu in the United States and on Disney+ (or its regional equivalents) outside the United States.

Since the last chapters of the Tokyo Revengers manga have already ended, Season 4 will adapt material that is new to the anime-only viewer (the last saga) but will not go beyond what the manga has already put in place. The arcs that will be adapted still contain complete source material, which decreases the chances of filler or limitless extension.
