My Hero Academia is in its final season, and the story is about to reach its conclusion. While the manga has been officially completed for a while now, anime-only fans were given a surprise by the resurrection of Bakugo, who was supposedly dead.

Fans are exhilarated by this news, but this also raises questions about how this character manages to escape death. The answer is a little complex, but in short, it was because of Edgeshot's effort, combined with Bakugo's Qurik, that he was able to restart his heart.

Before we dive deep into this complexity of how Bakugo came back to life if it's important to go through the events that led to his heart stopping. It was during the final battle that everyone was giving all they had to fight against Shigaraki, his Quirk, and Explosion, which evolved into a new form known as Cluster.

It allows him to create ultra-condensed explosions that boost his speed and destructive power to incredible levels. Unfortunately, this super-powerful power-up still lacked the strength to defeat his opponent. Before anyone could do something, Shigaraki landed a fatal blow straight to Bakugo’s chest, tearing apart his heart.

After being attacked by Shigaraki, it was almost next to impossible to survive. It was because Edgeshot decided to intervene and make a decision that put his life on the line. He would sacrifice himself to save Bakugo.

Using his Foldabody Quirk, which allows him to flatten and thread his body into thin strands, Edgeshot entered Bakugo’s body and began repairing the torn tissues and organs.

He literally stitched Bakugo’s heart back together from the inside, transforming his own body into the connective tissue that would keep the young hero alive. Although this action was commendable and selfless, it did not start Bakugo's heart.

When hope was almost lost, Edgeshot in My Hero Academia found one of Bakugo's sweat beads. This small droplet, containing the very essence of his Explosion Quirk, became the reason that ended up triggering a chain reaction that reignited his heart, literally bringing him back to life.

Being brought back to life gave Bakugo another chance to partake in battle. Although because of the injury he sustained, we get the information that his body is not fully healed, and if he chooses to fight, he would be in immense pain. The timing of his revival was crucial, as at the same time All Might was being brutally beaten up by All for One, and Deku was stuck with Shigaraki to leave the battle and save his hero.

Bakugo in My Hero Academia now had to decide to save All Might. Despite being in pain, he did not hesitate and went straight towards helping All Might. Using his incredible speed, he ripped through All For One’s defenses and rescued All Might, fulfilling the unspoken promise he made to himself during the Kamino incident years ago.

This is an emotionally charged moment in My Hero Academia because there was a time when Bakugo was filled with guilt as he blamed himself for being the reason why All Might lost his Quirk. Now it was like fate had allowed him to return the favor. In the end, through Edgeshot’s sacrifice, Bakugo’s fiery Quirk, and his unbreakable willpower, he defied death itself.
