D&C Media’s financials that leaked made the possibility of a Solo Leveling movie more real since it shows they’re aiming to release this in theatres sometime in 2026. A-1 Pictures hasn’t said anything yet, but people in the industry appear to think this is being set up strategically. The second season ended with Chapter 110, which means there's still about 70 chapters left until the end of the story.
So basically, the Solo Leveling movie could go three different ways. First, they could adapt chapters 111-131, where the formation of the Ahjin Guild occurs, and the epic Double Dungeon returns.

Second, they could tell an original story about the Kamish raid that's never been shown in the webcomic and introduce National Level Hunters. Third, the movie could also take advantage of the new multiverse concept in the Solo Leveling franchise and do something opposite than expected.
What chapters will the Solo Leveling movie likely cover?
The easiest way to adapt Solo Leveling into a movie is to adapt the Ahjin Guild Arc (Chapters 111-122). This storyline follows Jinwoo and Jinho as they start their own guild by recruiting members, try out Hae-In, and have an instance where a dungeon opened at Jinwoo’s SS & SSS-ranked sister's school.

However, this arc has divided the fanbase. After the Jeju Island Raid, which was pretty intense, the Ahjin Guild Arc has taken a slower, more "slice of life" approach to storytelling. With this approach to storytelling, there really aren't any big bad guys that can really challenge Jinwoo's massive power. Even in the climactic scene of the battle at Jinah's school, Jinwoo didn't really have much of a fight at all.
Could the Solo Leveling movie adapt the Double Dungeon Arc?

Chapters 123-131 of the Double Dungeon Arc are a great choice for a Solo Leveling movie. In this chapter, we see Jinwoo go back to where it all started at the Cartenon Temple and meet with the Architect. This is where we find out what the System is all about, find out who the Shadow Monarchs are, and what Jinwoo is meant to do.
All 21 chapters added together give about 4 episodes worth of content, perfect for the average theatrical movie length is about 90-120 minutes long. The Double Dungeon Arc is full of intense fighting, shocking twists and turns, and lots of growth for the characters.
Jinwoo's abilities will be pushed to the brink as he faces the Architect Kandiaru in the movie. These battle scenes would give fans the action they expect, while adding depth to Jinwoo's interactions with the Shadow Monarch. More importantly, this story arc leads into future storylines for the Solo Leveling.
Will the Solo Leveling movie explore Kamish's backstory?
There's a new theory out there that people are jumping on about the Solo Leveling movie potentially having all-new stuff that hasn't been in the webtoon. The Kamish raid happened many years before the main story, and we've never really seen how it went down. It was the first time an S-rank Gate appeared for mankind, on the West Coast of America, and it was an absolute disaster.
Kamish was a dragon that killed over 100 S-Rank hunters and about a million innocent civilians. The only people who survived that attack were Thomas Andre, Christopher Reed, Liu Zhigang, Siddharth Bachchan, and an unnamed healer. After this victory, they became National Level Hunters.
Exploring Kamish's rampage would give the Solo Leveling movie a fresh perspective. Audiences could witness these legendary hunters in their prime, showcasing combat styles rarely seen in the main series.
Final thoughts on the movie
There are lots of ways to get the Solo Leveling movie moving, if they wanna adapt chapters 111-131, or tell a tale about Kamish, or create something brand new. Whatever route they take, they will need to nail the fight scenes and drama to make it a success with fans.
For the movie to be fulfilling, it should have incredible animation that can stand alone and also push forward the overall story arc. Using A-1 Pictures' proven animation quality and how many fans of the Solo Leveling series there are, it could become a major hit no matter how they choose to adapt it.
