Episodes 48 through 54 will air consecutively over five weeks, taking viewers through the Execution and Perfect Preparation arcs. This matches the 15-chapter coverage many predicted based on the teaser trailer's content.MAPPA is putting in a ton more thought into how we view the footage in Part 1 of the anime series than just doing some recaps (which is pretty cool). They have said they are re-recording all the narration lines, and doing that will change how we look at all of Part 1.Understanding the Episode Numbering of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3Yuta's appearance in Season 3 (Image Source: MAPPA Studio)Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 picks up right where Season 2 ended. A total of 48 episodes were aired in Season 3 (the first season had 24 episodes and Season 2 had another 23 episodes), matching the total episode count of the Japanese manga series. The numbering used helps manga readers identify where this anime series starts. The anime will begin again at episode 48 and adapt parts 138 and 139 of the manga, where Yuji is sentenced to death due to the events that took place at the end of the Shibuya Incident. What Part 1 Will Cover?Maki Zenin (Image Source: MAPPA Studio)Initially, early estimates of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Part 1 indicated it wouldn't contain more than 5 episodes, all covering the arcs of Execution and Perfect Preparation. Yet when the official timetable was made available, we saw not only do the arcs Execution and Perfect Preparation fit into Part 1, but also that most of the content from the Culling Game arc is also included in this volume.Fans of the anime Jujutsu Kaisen are going to see Yuta for the first time when he arrives in this season to meet Yuji, Tengen (former head), and Maki while she wipes out the Zenin Clan, and also possibly have Hakari join him or vice versa. Where this event falls in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3, we will be able to see Yuji’s skills against Higuruma, or at least start to see some of the major battles in the arc, The Culling Games. The Special Episode's Purpose in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3The anticipation of witnessing this upcoming special episode is building daily. We've been informed by MAPPA themselves that this episode is more than a simple clip show and that there's much more than just showing us what happened during the previous season. They will be providing us with a new voice-over narration alongside all of the footage from part one. There are similarities to the season two Hidden Inventory Arc, where there were additional backstory details before getting to the peak of the original storyline (Shibuya Incident).Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Part 1 has been announced by MAPPA with an official release date and a polished adaptation plan. The studio has prepared what may be the most ambitious season to date for this franchise, including a 12-episode first half and an accompanying movie.
