Spoilers for Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 13 are out, and it is going to be an emotionally devastating installment since Gege started this spin-off. With Cross being shot in the previous chapter, we get to know that he is in a critical condition.

This means that there seems to be no chance for a possibility of a peaceful coexistence. Everything is slipping from control, and the story is not shifted from personal tragedy to a bigger political meltdown.

Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 13 is all about loss, consequences, and a rising conflict that threatens to break what’s left of both human and Simurian society. What is going to happen next might just be as catastrophic as the events that took place in the original series.

For now, the translations of this chapter are not 100% accurate, and therefore, it is recommended to treat this article as a reference point.

Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 13 starts on a somber note as we are shown Maru standing over Cross's body. Because he was shot, he was taken into medical care and laid out on a makeshift bed. The vibe around this scene is tense as we see some similar faces around as they are struggling to explain to Maru about the events that led to this unfortunate incident. While some claim that Cross reached for his sword, Oski, another Simurian, speaks up and says that it lies.

This scene is important because it shows that no party was truly open to the idea of coexisting, as both were standing on the line of a fragile alliance. Unfortunately, Cross was a victim of this because someone from the other party panicked. Although Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 13 never confirms it outright if Cross is dead, the tone speaks volumes.

Dabura arrives, and his wrath is instant

Then the chapter moves its focus to something that readers were waiting for. Dabura makes an entrance in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 13 after Cross was shot. He walks up the the person who shot his people and effortlessly slices his arm off. This shows a display of power from the Simurians' side. Usami tries to calm the situation with cursed speech, but the power gap is so massive that merely attempting a command destroys his throat.

Usami continues to beg for mercy, and while the translations are fuzzy, the scene suggests that Dabura declares the sacrifice of dozens of human beings as compensation. But before things could spiral further shockingly, Dabura chooses restraint. Instead of slaughtering everyone, he halts, acknowledges Usami’s desperation, and allows peace talks to continue. But the damage, physically and politically, is irreversible.

The demand that changes everything: No more exorcisms

Turns out the Simurians make an outrageous request in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 13. They demand that the Japanese government ensure that no cursed spirits are killed. And now the story has pivoted because Simuirnas are not showing signs of being open to coexisting, but they are using power to enforce themselves.

The consequences are immediate. Without exorcisms, cursed spirits begin leaking outside Tokyo. The barriers weren’t what kept them contained; it was Sukuna’s presence. Now, regions outside the city are increasingly at risk. Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 13 also hints at international fallout and even the possibility of war if Japan cannot protect its civilians.

Meanwhile, a small rogue faction of sorcerers begins clearing weak curses in secret, trying to prevent another Shibuya-level catastrophe without attracting Simurian retaliation. These humans know they are risking execution if caught, but the alternative is letting civilians die.

Kugasaki’s testimony: The loneliness consuming Yuji

Later, Kugasaki appears in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 13 through recorded testimony, speaking about Yuji. And this is where the story hits its emotional peak. She last saw him at a funeral, and she describes how the grief, as the endless cycle of loss, is breaking him. Yuji, immortal and alone, is forced to watch everyone he loves die.

The original manga was tragic, and now Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo is downright cruel in how it stretches his suffering. Yuji is not angry or upset; he is just enduring it all, and all of this has ended up making him feel hurt to a point that no one could come close to understanding what he is going through.

In the end, Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 13 concludes with preparations for the next major meeting: Dabura representing humanity, and Yuka, looking exhausted and traumatized, representing the Earthlings. It feels like a clash is inevitable, and the tension is unbearable. We can describe Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 13 as dense, tragic, and politically explosive. If the translations are accurate, then what is going to come next is not going to be pretty or light-hearted.
