Episode 4 of Kakuriyo: Bed and Breakfast for Spirits season 2 was titled "I'm Opening a Food Truck." One of the many highlights was that Byakuya hatched a plan to search for Odanna in the capital, bringing Aoi along under the guise of serving guests on the Seki-maru night cruise. And in the most surreal moment of the series so far, Aoi ran a food truck serving hamburgers from a van parked on the ship. She handed a cheeseburger over to some enigmatic Ayakashi, who she speculated may have been a noble in disguise.

Another important moment was when Raiju revealed Odanna's true Ayakashi form in front of the Emperor, which is very shameful for an Ayakashi. A political faction is using this to abolish the Hachiyo system so the Imperial Court can control the Eight Kingdoms and their wealth. The Emperor used to oppose abolishment but changed his mind after seeing Odanna's taboo true form.

Another highlight was when Ritsuko asked Aoi to help Takechiyo, the emperor's grandson. The kid dislikes eating itself, not just certain foods. Takechiyo was supposed to be the imperial heir, but his concubine mother got replaced when an official wife had a son. The shock left his mother unable to eat. As a result, she got hospitalized in the Land of Literature.

Episode 5 might focus on Aoi's mission to help young Takechiyo. The Ayakashi King's grandson refuses to eat because of his mother, who stopped eating after being supplanted by another prince's wife. But she is not the type to let anyone go hungry on her watch.

Expect more of Aoi's signature cooking creativity as she attempts to win over the stubborn child. Her food truck venture with hamburgers was a hit in Episode 4, so she'll probably try different dishes to break through Takechiyo's walls. This could be Aoi's chance to build crucial alliances within the royal family.

The ongoing plot about Odanna's imprisonment will also continue brewing in the background. With him locked up for "taboo" reasons, Kakuriyo: Bed and Breakfast for Spirits season 2 is building toward something big. The political tension between the royals wanting to abolish the Hachiyo system adds another layer to the story.

Conclusion

As Episode 5 approaches, everything's building toward something big. Aoi's mission with Takechiyo could give her the connections needed to free Odanna. The mix of cooking scenes, politics, and obvious feelings keeps this show engaging.
