As Qin continues to push towards its end goal of basically conquering all of China, the siege of Gyou will serve as a pivotal point. Additionally, every one of the commanders will get an opportunity to prove what they can do.

In Episode 9, titled "The Weight of Resolve," the battlefield action is exciting. The Gaku Ka Unit, led by Mou Ten, utilized superior tactics to defeat a numerically superior Ki Sui army with their superior mobility and strategic capabilities. Consequently, this resulted in a complete dominance of the battlefield by the Gaku Ka; this was the first time they faced the Ki Sui army and were significantly outnumbered.

The Ma Kou army (the main attacking force of the Ou Sen army) is known as having the strongest offensive capabilities in the Ou Sen army's arsenal, and they utilized wave attack techniques to devastating effect against the Ki Sui army, pushing Ki Sui to the defensive and shifting the momentum of the battle back to Qin.

Meanwhile, the Gyoku Hou Unit is waiting for orders to advance to the front line. Captain Ou Hon had anticipated following A Kou (the First Commander of the Ou Sen army) to the front line; however, A Kou had ordered them to hold their position instead. Ou Hon expressed strong disapproval about being held back and stated that he wanted to be actively engaged in battle.

The character dynamics in Kingdom were heavily featured. Mou Ten transformed from a strategist into a battlefield commander with a very creative method of command.

The major theme of Kingdom Season 6 Episode 10 was how ambition and duty were put against each other when deciding whether to pursue an individual goal instead of following orders that are consistent with the overall strategy. After only a couple more episodes left in the 13-episode season, there is much left to accomplish in the Qin campaigns.
