What Can You Expect from Kingdom Season 6 Episode 9?

Since the high-octane start of the battle at Shukai Plains, it would make sense for Kingdom Season 6 Episode 9 to have a much greater emphasis on the consequences of Meng Tian's brazen strategic risk-taking. The suspense around the Rakuka Unit's fight against Ji Hui's hordes has now become a suspension that needs to be resolved in a serious manner.

At the same time, the Hi Shin Unit has mostly sat idle in the central battlefield, but Kingdom Season 6 Episode 9 seems to be a likely entry point for the Hi Shin Unit to finally become involved in the fighting. Shin's frustrations and the possibility of combat will become increasingly pressing as the fighting continues to evolve on each battlefield.

The episode should also provide an update regarding Yang Duanhe's mountain tribe forces and what is happening with their separate fight. Weaving together the developments from multiple battlefields and moments creates a tension that should continue to grow for the commanders involved.

What Happened in Kingdom Season 6 Episode 8?

Episode 8: "The Battle Begins" established the war as a reality on the Shukai Plains. The Qin combined army successfully marched up to Gyō (Ye), Zhao's second-largest city (from the Zhao perspective), marking a key point in their invasion campaign.

Wang Jian had his army detach from Kanki and Yang Duanhe's armies to engage Li Mu's main force directly. In this episode, Wang Jian demonstrated his masterful use of the defensive position (without ever signaling his intention) while also characterizing him as having hidden strategic depth.

The whole focus of the episode revolved around the Rakuka Unit's impossible task. The author in the beginning starts off by saying that Meng Tian, with only 5,000 men, turned far left into Ji Hui's 30,000 members on the left flank. We were aware all the time of how seriously outnumbered Meng Tian was. An incredible early show of tactical genius, lightning speed, and power, Meng Tian cut through Ji Hui's brigade no matter how Josh cuts it.

In addition to, apparently, what was happening, Wang Jian was quietly, and without fanfare, sending the vast majority of his Center into greater and greater reinforcements of his left flank grouping, a surge on the Kiui flank. Ultimately, this was a high-risk gambit with the available knowledge that a break in the momentum would favor Wang Jian. The gamble also risked the weaknesses of Wang Jian's center.

And Yang Duanhe's mountain tribe coalition was in and of itself already engaged in battle with the Zhao forces, creating their own layered battle, complicating the multi-front war against the Zhao. The barbarian queen's strength and the fierce loyalty of her tribal chiefs added another dimension to the multi-front war.

The rain-soaked battlefield in different battles was a thrilling, quick reminder of war. March of new armies we might see in Kingdom Season 6 Episode 9, where one decision changed the game and empires.
