In episode 10 of My Hero Academia's final season, we got an awesome look at the happy times between Deku and Ochaco. That said, there's still some unfinished business with Izuku Midoriya because Studio Bones chose not to put in the 38 pages of epilogue that would have changed everything from the last episode. Episode 10 ended at chapter 430, but Kohei Horikoshi wrote chapter 431 for the actual book 42 release.

My Hero Academia Final Season Episode 11 is going to explain this and give us a better ending. Chapter 431 resolves Deku and Ochaco's relationship, reveals the final hero rankings, and shows where Class 1-A stands eight years later. Without episode 11, the anime will miss out on many important things that manga readers got to see months ago.

The Extended Epilogue That Changes Everything

Kohei Horikoshi's manga wrapped up in Chapter 430, which came out in August 2024, but many people who read the story didn't feel that the ending resolved all the threads. To help satisfy this concern, the creator put out an extended epilogue along with the last volume in December 2024. At 38 pages long, Chapter 431 is the second-longest chapter of the entire series.

In Chapter 431, readers get enough character development that was missing from the last chapter. The epilogue shows what the Class 1-A members' hero rankings are eight years after the last battle. Lemillion was ranked #1 hero in Japan, and Shoto Todoroki was ranked #2. Fans wanted to see how their favourite characters' lives turned out, and this epilogue gave them the closure they needed.

What My Hero Academia Episode 11 Will Cover

Chapter 431 will be illustrated in the next Episode as an animated chapter. In this special chapter, the focus will be primarily on the two characters Ochaco Uraraka and Izuku Midoriya. Throughout this chapter, Ochaco has dreamt multiple times about Himiko Toga. These dreams are making her think that there could be a connection between her and the villain, based on how she was saved by Toga's blood transfusion.

The epilogue is about the U.A. High School graduates, who have now matured into professional heroes, dedicated to Quirk Counseling for when younger individuals work through their powers. Izuku is now in a position where he can teach at U.A. High School, and he is also collecting data about his new support suit while being a hero part-time on his off time.

Romance Finally Addressed

People have been going on and on about the Izuku and Ochaco relationship in My Hero Academia. The end of Chapter 430 left it feeling a little ambiguous, but with Chapter 431, we finally got to see Izuku saying he wanted to hang out with Ochaco more.

In a way, the confession scene is a little bit different from Horikoshi’s usual avoidance of romance in this series. After the epilogue, Izuku says that he respects everyone, but he knows he has more feelings for Ochaco than for other people and acknowledges this, too. They were supportive of each other, and both decided to let their feelings grow. Additionally, Himiko's spirit gave encouragement to Ochaco to continue pursuing happiness.

In My Hero Academia Chapter 431, fan-favorite classmates gather together to celebrate Shoto's accomplishment of achieving the No. 2 spot in the hero ranking. While everyone has a different timeline to pursue his/her goals and pursue relationships, the fact that Denki and Kyoka's agencies are located next to each other means nothing more than professional friendship.

The chapter also confirmed that Shihai and Kinoko are currently dating, while Bakugo, a great fighter, has dropped from #4 down to #15 due to his personality causing rifts between him and his potential sidekicks. Overall, the advancements and changes to the hero community are very similar to what happens in the real world today.

Why This My Hero Academia Episode Matters

The animated inclusion of Chapter 431 will act as vindication to many readers who saw it as the true end. There were early doubts that the epilogue existed, and many have thought it was created just for the purpose of being fan service. Once the anime releases its adaptation of this material, it will become recognized and part of the complete story in My Hero Academia.

My Hero Academia's reputation is built on themes of perseverance, friendship, and how to truly be a hero. The epilogue not only closes the romantic chapters of the story, but it also continues to show how the characters have continued to evolve even after attaining their initial goals. For example, Shoto pursues hobbies like bowl-making, showing there's more to life than hero work alone.
