Long before the ninja world existed, members of the Otsutsuki Clan traveled from planet to planet, planting God Trees to harvest chakra fruit. One of the lower-ranked Otsutsuki, Kaguya, came to Earth alongside Isshiki Otsutsuki to perform this task.

But instead of letting herself be sacrificed to the tree, Kaguya betrayed Isshiki, leaving him gravely wounded. He survived by taking over the body of a monk named Jigen using a Karma Seal.

Kaguya blended in among humans, becoming close to Emperor Tenji and later giving birth to two sons: Hagoromo and Hamura. When war broke out, she consumed the chakra fruit from the God Tree to stop humanity’s violence.

She awakened the Rinne Sharingan and cast the Infinite Tsukuyomi, putting the world under genjutsu and turning people into White Zetsu to defend against a future Otsutsuki invasion.

Realizing she had become too power-hungry, Hagoromo and Hamura opposed their mother. After a fierce battle, they sealed her away on the Moon using Six Paths Chibaku Tensei. Before her defeat, she spawned Black Zetsu, who began manipulating history in her name.

Hagoromo, now revered as the Sage of Six Paths, shared chakra with humanity through a philosophy called Ninshu. He had two sons: Indra, a genius but prideful warrior, and Asura, a kind-hearted soul. Hagoromo chose Asura as his successor, sparking a generational feud between their descendants.

Hagoromo later split the Ten-Tails’ chakra into nine Tailed Beasts, each with unique personalities and powers, to prevent any one being from wielding its destructive force.

Warring Clans Era and the Founding of Konoha

Two children of warring clans were born: Madara Uchiha and Hashirama Senju. Despite the violence between their families, they dreamed of peace. Eventually, they convinced their clans to unite and formed the first hidden village: Konohagakure (The Village Hidden in the Leaves).

However, Madara became disillusioned when Hashirama was chosen as Hokage. Feeling betrayed and manipulated by a rewritten Uchiha stone tablet (altered by Black Zetsu), Madara abandoned the village and fought Hashirama at the Valley of the End.

Though defeated, Madara had secretly implanted Hashirama’s cells and faked his death using Izanagi, beginning the long game to awaken the Rinnegan and enact the Eye of the Moon Plan.
