Gachiakuta Season 2 is officially happening. That was confirmed by the BONES FILM studio just after Episode 24 was released on December 21, 2025. Now, fans know there will be additional seasons of Gachiakuta in the future, instead of just 2-cour block of episodes to watch.

With Rudo's first chapter ending after 24 episodes filled with a lot of fighting against trash beasts and a ton of anger toward the system, the production committee did not waste time telling everyone that there's still more to come for the Cleaners. This rapid announcement signals strong confidence in the property's commercial viability and international streaming performance.

To celebrate the announcement of Gachiakuta Season 2, special art was created by some of the key players in production. The first art piece comes from original manga creator Kei Urana, who created a dramatic image of protagonist Rudo, along with the other Cleaners, Enjin, Zanka, and Riyo.

Another piece of art to come out was from Hideyoshi Andou, the graffiti designer for the series. He created an illustration of Urana in a fun pose and saying thanks to the fans and everyone involved in making Gachiakuta come to life.

In addition to Gachiakuta Season 2, a few other things will come out of this franchise. A stage play based on Gachiakuta will be put on in 2026. This stage production stars actor Hikaru Imamaki portraying the main character Rudo, and it opens in Tokyo at Tokyo's Shibuya Renga Hall starting on May 22, then goes to Kyoto in June.

Gachiakuta: The Game has also been announced to be in development. It is being developed by Com2uS for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam. The goal of the video game is to replicate Gachiakuta's unique aesthetic and atmosphere into an interactive format.

Studio BONES Continues Production for Gachiakuta Season 2

BONES FILM animation Studio is going to be doing the work on Gachiakuta Season 2 once more, as they were responsible for bringing the manga's style and design to life during Season 1. This time around, Directing Team (Fumihiko Suganuma), Composing Team (Hiroshi Seko), and Character Design Team (Satoshi Ishino) are expected to maintain their current roles.

The first season started airing back in July 2025, and it took off pretty fast. Crunchyroll streamed it globally, and lots of people watched it this past summer, as reported by Crunchyroll as one of their summer offerings that received the most views.

What Fans Can Expect

Gachiakuta Season 2 has no set release date, but since it has been confirmed that the show is in production, we know they're working on it. The first season had some significant storylines and a few dangling threads for them to pick up when they return for season 2.

Crunchyroll will probably keep streaming Gachiakuta Season 2 whenever it comes out. Just the fact that they've confirmed season 2 is good news and has gotten a ton of people excited to continue following Rudo's adventures.
