Ninja vs. Gokudo anime set to begin this October - Everything you need to know

Ninja vs. Gokudo is finally getting its anime debut this October, and fans of intense action and stylish battles are in for a treat. This new series brings the age-old fight between ninjas and yakuza right into modern Tokyo. The cast is pretty interesting, and the team behind the scenes is solid. With visuals, Ninja vs. Gokudo is shaping up to be one of the top shows this season.

It’s based on a manga by Shinsuke Kondo that started back in 2020. It has been quite popular for its combination of ninjas, gangsters, and brutal fight scenes. Ninja vs. Gokudo is being made by Studio Deen, and they have worked with a couple more action-packed shows, so this should be good. The story is about two guys. There is Shinoha Tanaka, a ninja who’s got this weird thing where he can’t laugh because of some past trauma. The team of the Ninja vs. Gokudo anime

The voice cast of Ninja vs. Gokudo is pretty solid, too. Chiaki Kobayashi voices Shinoha, and he does a great job making the ninja cool. He was the voice of Gabimaru in Hell’s Paradise and Mash Burnedead in Mashle. Katsuyuki Konishi plays Kiwami, the yakuza boss. He voiced Diavolo from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind and Uzui Tengen from Demon Slayer.

Then there’s Sumire Uesaka as Gamute, who’s a wild card in the story and brings a lot of excitement. She was the voice of Hayase Nagatoro from Don’t Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro and Hahari Hanazono from The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You.

There are also a bunch of other characters, voiced by some pretty big-name actors. Zanzou Kasai is played by seven different voice actors, which is pretty unique. The seven of them include Tomoyuki Morikawa, Kensho Ono, Mariko Higashiuchi, Yuki Sanpei, Serina Machiyama, Volcano Ota, and Hisako Kanemoto.

Other characters like Kaiza Akiba, Nodoka Matsumoto, and Shiki Yamada also have big roles and great voice actors behind them. The cast really brings the whole ninja vs. yakuza world to life.

On the production side, Ninja vs. Gokudo is directed by Toshinori Watanabe, who’s done other action shows like Naruto and Tokyo Ghoul. Keiichiro Ochi, who worked on Hinamatsuri and 5-toubun no Hanayome, is behind the scripts. Tokuyuki Matsutake, the guy who did character designs for Attack on Titan and Black Clover, is handling that here too.
