The One Piece manga is currently in the Elbaph Arc, revolving around the chaotic series of events in the land of the giants. The main antagonists for this arc are the God’s Knights, an elite unit under the World Government composed of intimidating Celestial Dragons.

This group has earned the ire of fans for their actions in recent chapters, particularly due to a game they are playing. The God’s Knights are engaging in a twisted game in One Piece where they kidnap the children of the giants to further their goals. This perfectly aligns with the warped mindset of the World Nobles and introduces the terrifying powers that the special guard of Sacred Mary Geoise possesses.

To understand the game played by the God’s Knights in One Piece, it is important to know the reason for their presence in Elbaph. While Luffy and the Straw Hats were exploring one part of the island, Shamrock, the Commander of the God’s Knights, and his follower Gunko infiltrated another part using Magic Circles.

Soon after, they met Loki in the underworld and attempted to recruit him. However, the Accursed Prince of Elbaph turned them down, which caused Shamrock to feel insulted and led him to wound Loki greatly. Following this, Shamrock ordered Gunko to summon other members of the God’s Knights to assist with a change in their plans.

Hence, the initial goal of the God’s Knights in Elbaph was to bring Loki into their ranks. Through this, they would gain valuable manpower and gain effective control over the giants. Unfortunately, since he turned them down, Shamrock took a more drastic approach. Following his commands, Gunko used her Magic Circles to bring Saint Killingham and Saint Sommers to Elbaph.

Shamrock then suggested the sadistic game they could play. This involved kidnapping the children of the giants and taking them back to Mary Geoise. By holding them hostage, the God’s Knights could put pressure on the giants’ leaders to swear fealty to the World Government. After relaying his orders, Shamrock returned to the Holy Land and left Gunko, Sommers, and Killingham to enjoy their game.

The God’s Knights wasted no time as they began showing the potential of their Devil Fruits. Since the children of the giants did not possess the Mark of the Abyss, they could not be transported through Magic Circles. Hence, they had to be guided to the ships at the dock.

The God’s Knights’ game in One Piece caused rampant chaos throughout Elbaph. Firstly, Killingham would put the children to sleep, after which Gunko would guide them using her arrows. Finally, Sommers would place thorny vines on the children, which would be extremely harmful to those who came in contact.

To keep the giant warriors occupied, Killingham would also use his Devil Fruit powers to create monstrous MMA that were manifestations of individuals’ fears. While these were causing destruction throughout the island, the God’s Knights reveled in their machinations and took a break.

What goal do the God’s Knights hope to achieve through their game in One Piece?

While the overall goal of the God’s Knights in One Piece is to control the giants, they have a more particular one. This was revealed in the latest chapter when Sommers threatened Jarul, stating that he had kidnapped 10 important children.

The Celestial Dragon commanded the giants to burn down their school and library, and that they would start eliminating the children if it was not done. Therefore, in addition to using the giants as a tool for war, the World Government does not want them to further their knowledge.

The library in Elbaph contains ancient texts and the research of Ohara’s scholars, which likely has information about the Void Century. Since a Buster Call would not be effective against the giants, the World Government has decided to get rid of them through the God’s Knights’ game.
