One Punch Man: Everything to know about Pesky Clown

The One Punch Man animanga series has given us some of the most entertaining villains in the series. There is a wide range of villains introduced in the series. While most of them were powerful, some of them had interesting personalities. There is one villain in the Neo Heroes saga that fans want to know about - Pesky Clown.

He was introduced quite late in the manga series. Therefore, fans who have only watched the anime will read the contents containing spoilers from the manga as well as the webcomic series. Chapter 212 formally introduced this character, and his threat level wasn’t explicitly mentioned at the get-go. Based on his actions in the manga, fans believed that he is a Tiger-level threat.

Additionally, he falls under the category of a Mysterious Being. These are entities in the One Punch Man series who were once human and somehow morphed into monsters. As per Dr. Genus, one could turn into a monster if they have a strong desire for a certain transformation. These transformations can take place through bad habits. While Mysterious Beings can be artificially created by scientific methods, Pesky Clown slowly morphed into a monster at some point in the One Punch Man series.

Pesky Clown, as the name suggests, adorns a clown outfit containing a frilled shirt and puffy pants. However, it is interesting to note that his appearance is slightly different in the One Punch Man webcomic series. In the manga, he has a round nose while his face is powdered white. In the original webcomic, he had red face paint that covered most of his face. Furthermore, the shirt also featured plenty of polka dots and bows.

Pesky Clown’s abilities in the One Punch Man series

One of the most unique abilities in Pesky Clown’s arsenal is his transformation. His power is directly dependent on the amount of attention he is getting. This implies that he is at his weakest when he fights people in the absence of a crowd. However, if people are watching him fight, his power multiplies drastically. Furthermore, he has incredible regenerative powers, which are achieved through damage transfer. Once he sustains a fatal blow, he can pop one of the three balloons, which instantly heals him. This is a supernatural ability that One Punch Man fans haven’t been able to explain.

He can also summon objects that one might find in a circus. He can then use these objects as weapons during fights. While he was estimated to be a Tiger-level threat, it was Sweet Mask who believed that Pesky Clown was a Dragon-level threat in his most powerful form. The aforementioned A-class hero spent years hiding his true identity. However, Pesky Clown was the only one who forced Sweet Mask to reveal his true form. The hero needed to be in his most powerful form in order to defeat Pesky Clown.
