One Punch Man Season 3 Episode 3 threw a curveball by opening with an unforeseen meetup between Zombieman and Dr. Genus. The Former House of Evolution scientist reveals the concept of the "limiter" and why Saitama alone is the world's strongest hero. Amidst this, Garou fights with Royal Ripper and Bug God, proving that even the Hero Hunter bleeds when cornered by demon-level threats.

This episode answered the burning question of how Saitama's ridiculous training routine actually works. Viewers finally see some action plot and story revelations, but with a catch. It also pulled back the curtain on the Monster Association's roster of dragon-level executives.

One Punch Man Season 3 Episode 3 opens with an exposition scene: Dr. Genus explains to Zombieman how Saitama's power works and mentions that every being has a limiter. This is directly connected to events from Season 2, where Zombieman tracked Armored Gorilla after witnessing him defeat Marshall Gorilla.

According to Genus' theory, Saitama somehow removed this limiter entirely through his infamous training regime. He explained that while monsters gain strength by abandoning their humanity, Saitama achieved something different from them. He pushed beyond his natural limits without converting into a monster.

While Genus lectures, Garou is busy fighting two Monster Association demons. Garou nearly gets pulverized against Royal Ripper and Bug God. Despite being theoretically stronger than these monsters, the fight was surprisingly very competitive.

Their battle took a dark turn when Sludge Jellyfish kidnapped Tareo. Just when Garou got distracted by this third party, Royal Ripper landed powerful slashes across his body. But Bug God intervened from killing the Hero Hunter, as Gyoro Gyoro wanted Garou alive for unknown purposes.

Garou was left severely wounded and unconscious. However, the final moment of the episode showed his hand twitching. It confirms that he is still alive.

Back with Saitama and heroes, the mood is deviated to lighter tones in One Punch Man Season 3 Episode 3. Saitama casually learns that he defeated Garou in the previous episode. But to him, it was just another mundane day.

At one point, he whines about losing his wallet after dining at a diner (with Fubuki by his side). He was also anxious about the napa cabbage he left at the restaurant. It leads to a comic "dine and dash" where Fubuki ends up paying the bill.

Dr. Kuseo briefly appeared to check on Genos. For some, this scene might be minor, but it establishes connections that may become relevant later in the story.

Inside the Moster Association

On the moster side, Gyoro Gyoro hears news of Garou's defeat and shows no concern. He then orders the captured child executed and declares that the Monster Association must prepare for war. It's because Do-S announced that a Hero Association surveillance drone would locate their base within a day. It sets a clear timeline for the upcoming invasion.

The One Punch Man Season 3 Episode 3 showcased various executive members in their base. Phoenix Man made a bold comment about becoming the moster king. Pure Blood, the vampire claimed superiority as he was born naturally rather than transformed from human form.

Sludge Jellyfish imprisoned Tareo alongside Waganma in the Moster Association cells. He used this opportunity to list the executive members: Overgrown Rover, Gums, Evil Natural Water, Nyan, Fuhrer Ugly, Homeless Eperoro, Black Sperm, Gyoro Gyoro, and Orochi.

Overall, One Punch Man Season 3 Episode 3 offered fans the key showdown they wanted. But it also underscored the slow buildup still affecting the season. The episode had its own memorable highlights and laughs, and kept the excitement up without losing momentum.
