One Punch Man Season 3 Episode 4 throws viewers into chaos as Garou comes back to life after apparently dying, and his body has gone through some disturbing changes. His clothes have fused to his body, wounds have healed in bizarre ways, and he is even stronger than a human!

One Punch Man Season 3 Episode 4 has improved quality of animation while facing some very real pacing issues. The episode focuses on Garou's story arc, as he infiltrates the Monster Association to save young Tareo and wraps up with a payoff as he takes out Royal Ripper. Meanwhile, the Hero Association rallies its S-Class strike team.

One Punch Man Season 3 Episode 4 opens with a major plot point for Garou. He now has a major transformation into monsterization after nearly dying. His clothes have fused to his flesh and drawn him further from human to monster. This physical transformation signifies that Garou's power level has increased after surviving brutal attacks by Royal Ripper and Bug God.

Garou's enhanced abilities are seen in this episode as he confronts Royal Ripper at the Monster Association headquarters. During the fight, Garou's frame and spirit seem to be indestructible as he shows mastery over multiple martial arts techniques. His use of Bang's Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist and Bomb's Whirlwind Iron Cutting Fist are utterly devastating against Royal Ripper.

Hero Association's Strategic Planning in One Punch Man Season 3 Episode 4

Child Emperor is able to use some sick tracking technology to find the Monster Association's base. His drone traveled through tunnels that Elder Centipede left behind from Season 2. But he expresses concern about some of the heroes that could potentially storm the base with them.

The young prodigy looks at Genos suspiciously because he is so mysterious and lives in Z City. He also suggests skipping Silverfang because of Garou. Sekingar has made it a fair trade to add a few A-C class heroes to the assault team.

The Memorable Hotpot Sequence

One Punch Man Season 3 Episode 4 brings a very funny moment during the hotpot scene at Saitama's apartment. Dr. Kuseno brings high-quality meat to the hotpot, which leads to the heroes having a feast through competition. Fubuki even uses her psychic abilities to gain an unfair advantage in their shared meal!

Despite budget constraints, the episode still provides some nice character moments. Genos even shows a rare moment of irritation while he scolds everyone, even his own master. These funny moments are a clever juxtaposition to the more serious threats presented later on at the end of the episode.

The One Punch Man Season 3 Episode 4 unites the core strike team for the upcoming Monster Association raid. Flashy Flash, Tatsumaki, Zombieman, Child Emperor, Pig God, Puri-Puri Prisoner, Atomic Samurai, and Super Alloy Darkshine are the core strike team. King joins the group after being recruited while taking out Saitama's trash.

The episode's climax has Royal Ripper threatening young Tareo at the Monster Association base. The Royal Ripper has no interest in the Monster Association's plans for world domination and just wants to kill. Fortunately, Garou makes a timely entrance as he saves the child remarkably well. Garou immediately shatters the Royal Ripper's blade and decapitates him in a single stroke.

Overall, One Punch Man Season 3 Episode 4 lays the groundwork for numerous narrative thread-shifts in future episodes. Garou saving Tareo positions Garou as an arguably unlikely hero, despite his anti-establishment views. Garou being at the base of the Monster Association has broader narrative possibilities for physical encounters with both monsters and heroes in the upcoming raid.
