One Punch Man Season 3 Episode 9 threw Child Emperor into a nightmare scenario where killing his opponent only made things worse. The young genius figured out that Phoenix Man could resurrect himself due to the gimmick behind a children's TV show, turning what was originally just a total joke into a real-life existential crisis.

This episode took away everything you usually associate with heroic power and instead replaced it with gut-wrenching anxiety. While Child Emperor's strategies might have given him an extra second or two, they didn't result in anything like a victory. His biggest weapon, the giant mech Brave Giant, could inflict very high levels of damage on most "dragon" class threats.

But then again, anytime Phoenix Man gets enough energy, he can come back, resurrect as an infinitely more powerful version of himself, and even do some crazy things, like absorb other guys' powers and raise dead bodies.

In One Punch Man Season 3 Episode 9, Child Emperor's main focus was to save Waganma from the underground headquarters of the Monster Association before they could be used as a hostage. Unfortunately, when Child Emperor and his crew entered the base to rescue Waganma, they were confronted with Phoenix Man.

Phoenix Man poses an even bigger threat to Child Emperor because the costume monster will absorb traits from the costume that it uses to transform into that monster. This means that when Phoenix Man uses his resurrection ability, he can grow exponentially in strength because creatures in the One Punch Man world grow stronger when they are pushed to the brink of death.

In One Punch Man Season 3 Episode 9, Phoenix Man's strength was shown to be incredibly brutal and powerful because of his many transformations. After coming back to life the first time, Phoenix Man changed from being a demon-level threat to a dragon or even a dragon-level threat. His first new attack power was to destroy the Child Emperor's defensive point with no effort and force the Child Emperor to use his ultimate weapon.

As the fight continued, the costume monster became even stronger and developed different offensive styles, like Hawk Mode, which increased his speed, and Hawk Mode: Prominence, which allowed him to eat all of the energy attacks being thrown at him. Every time he died and came back to life, he became stronger, making it almost impossible for anyone else to beat him.

Brave Giant's Spectacular Display in One Punch Man Season 3 Episode 9

Basically, the Child Emperor had created this enormous robot called Brave Giant by using all the drills he set up that were spread throughout the Monster Association. Unfortunately for Brave Giant, he could only use him for 3 minutes at a time, or the robot would be totally useless. But, during those 3 minutes, Brave Giant had absolutely demolished Phoenix Man.

In this fight, we also see another example of great strategy and tactics being employed by Child Emperor when he literally trapped Phoenix Man in an electromagnetic trap, then let fly with his Giant Fish Strike and blasted Phoenix Man through multiple floors of the underground base.

In One Punch Man Season 3 Episode 9, a giant ray called the Millennium Emperor Nova was shot by the Child Emperor. The huge, massive beam of energy travelled through the Monster Association and then continued into the sky above Z City.

This attack demonstrated just how powerful S-Class heroes are. Even after taking one of the strongest hits in the show, Phoenix Man was able to survive. The majority of the damage was absorbed by Phoenix Man's suit, but half of the suit was burned up when it absorbed the intense energy.

One Punch Man Season 3 Episode 9 revealed that the ninja duo Hellfire Flame and Tempest Wind had been resurrected. They were wandering around the Monster Association and happened to run into Saitama. The man only showed up for a few seconds and didn't even try to exert any effort in defeating those ninja brothers before they left running away.

At the end of the episode, Child Emperor was able to save Waganma from being taken away, but the spoiled little kid knew something that he wasn't telling about a hostage still being held. Zombie Man responded to the communication from Child Emperor, and we can expect to see him again later on as the Monster Association arc continues to unfold.

One Punch Man Season 3 Episode 9 provided plenty of action as we learned a lot about the many narratives within the Monster Association arc. There are now multiple S-Class heroes who are operating independently throughout the underground base, and as this season progresses and is about to wrap up, the paths of all these heroes will cross.
