Record of Ragnarok season 3 will deliver one of the most emotionally charged battles in the entire series. Round 7 pitted Hades, the King of Helheim, against Qin Shi Huang, China's first emperor. This wasn't just another fight. It was a clash between two kings who understood what it meant to carry the weight of their people.

The Revenge of a Brother in Record of Ragnarok season 3

Hades didn't originally plan to fight in Ragnarok. He stepped up after Buddha betrayed the gods in Round 6. But his real motivation? Avenging his younger brother Poseidon, who died back in Round 3 against Kojiro Sasaki.
Record of Ragnarok season 3 showed us a side of Hades we'd never seen before. He wasn't just fighting for the gods. He was fighting as an older brother who couldn't let his sibling's death go unanswered.
Before entering the arena, Hades did something significant. He fused the remains of Poseidon's broken trident with his own bident. This created a new weapon that symbolized their bond. It was his way of bringing Poseidon into battle with him.
Qin Shi Huang: The King Who Feels Everything

Qin entered the fight with his usual confidence. The guy literally walked into the gods' VIP section before the match and threw Ares around like a ragdoll. But Record of Ragnarok season 3 revealed something heartbreaking about him. Qin has a condition called Mirror-Touch Synesthesia. Whenever he sees someone get hurt, he feels that same pain in his own body.
This curse haunted him since childhood. Growing up as a hostage in enemy territory, young Qin constantly felt the hatred and pain of everyone around him. His adoptive mother, Chunyan, gave him a blindfold to help block some of it out. She also taught him that this "curse" could actually make him the greatest king because he could truly understand his people's suffering.
The Battle Heats Up

The fight started with Hades going all out. His attacks were ridiculously powerful. When he used Persephone-Kallichore, the shockwave alone was enough to injure Qin. But Qin had a trick up his sleeve. His martial art style, Chiyou, combined five different fighting techniques. And his signature move, Heavenly Phoenix's Power Embrace, let him absorb attacks and redirect them back at his opponent.
Record of Ragnarok season 3 showed us how evenly matched these two were. Qin took off his blindfold mid-fight. This allowed him to see the flow of Qi (life energy) in Hades' body. He could spot weak points called cruxes that looked like stars. By firing invisible air bullets at these spots with his Drifting Tortoise technique, Qin could weaken Hades' attacks.
Hades' Trump Card

Things got serious when Hades cut his own chest open. His blood, called Pluto Ichor, has special properties. Any divine weapon touched by it becomes stronger. Hades poured his blood onto his bident, transforming it into Ichor Desmos.
This new weapon was insanely powerful. It broke through Qin's defense and cut off two fingers plus a huge chunk of his shoulder. But here is the thing about Record of Ragnarok season 3. It never made either fighter look weak. Hades was legitimately terrifying with Desmos. And Qin's determination to keep fighting despite losing body parts was equally impressive.
The Final Exchange

Qin was in bad shape. He had lost fingers, and his shoulder was destroyed. Then Hades cut off his entire left arm. Most people would've given up. But Qin remembered what makes a king: A king never doubts, never yields, never relies on others, and never surrenders. His Valkyrie partner Alvitr transformed their weapon one more time. The armor became the Shi Huang Goujian Sword.
In the final clash, both fighters went all in. Record of Ragnarok season 3 gave us one of the most beautiful moments when Qin spotted a crux in Desmos itself. He fired an air bullet at it, weakening Hades' ultimate attack just enough to break through and stab him through the heart.
Conclusion
What made this fight special was the respect between them. Hades called Qin magnificent multiple times. And Qin, in his final moment of victory, didn't call Hades an enemy. He called him a friend. Even Hades, as he died, smiled and said:
"I expected nothing less from a king."
Record of Ragnarok season 3 used this battle to show that humanity was now in the lead 4-3. But more importantly, it proved that humans and gods weren't so different after all.
