When Solo Leveling released season 1 of anime, no one could have predicted how popular it would become. It is adapted from a South Korean web novel and manhwa by Chugong and Jang Sung-rak. This anime has made waves across the world for its unique animation style.

Also, how it portrayed the story of Sung Jinwoo from being the weakest hunter to gaining powers beyond anyone's imagination. And now that Season 2 of this anime is over, the fans worldwide aren’t just asking for a Season 3 but are demanding it.

Solo Leveling has dominated the popularity charts in Crunchyroll’s most-watched lists across the globe, trending regularly on X (formerly Twitter) and other social media apps. Additionally, for some information about the season 3 release, the English voice actor gave a major hint in this latest video.

“Speaking of season 3, I actually have some new information, I could share with you guys right now, the release day. So Season three will come out….”

With his energetic tone and leaving the video on a cliffhanger has left fans with hope that Season 3 isn’t just possible but maybe has been worked on in secrecy. Fans are estimating that Season 3’s release will be sometime in late 2026 or early 2027. Moreover, according to producers, each episode of Solo Leveling takes 10 to 12 months to complete due to its complex animation and multi-language release pipeline.

There is no denying that Season 2 of Solo Leveling is on another level. The Jeju Island arc was an emotional roller coaster as it included the tragic death of key characters, the monstrous presence of the Ant King, and Jinwoo’s god-tier entrance. The series has offered multiple iconic moments in modern anime.

At this point, the release of season 3 is not just likely, it’s inevitable, as it has high global viewership rates. Also, from a commercial point of view, this franchise has been thriving.

Finally, the Solo Leveling producers, Sota Furuhashi and Atsushi Kaneko, have also given a subtle hint during Crunchyroll’s AMA. During the event, they essentially asked fans to lend their energy to ensure Season 3 becomes a reality.

What Solo Leveling season 3 will likely cover, and why the wait will be worth it

Season 3 of Solo Leveling will most likely cover the International Guild Conference arc, the Kamish raid flashback, and the Monarchs' formal emergence. The story will reveal the war between the Monarchs and the Rulers that has been going on for centuries.

There will be a drastic shift in Sung Jinwoo’s journey as his goal will evolve from being something personal to a global level. He will have to step up and save the world from the threat of humanity going extinct.

With stakes higher than ever, it is recommended to wait. As a fan, it is understandable to wait until 2026 or 2027 for Season 3 feels brutal. But we want the same kind of production value as Season 1 and 2, it will be worth waiting.

Animes that have taken time to deliver quality content have never failed to capture their viewers. For instance, One Punch Man and Attack on Titan are proof that when a delay is done right, it promises greatness.

In conclusion, Solo Leveling has quickly become popular for the anime, and with two successful seasons under its belt and a whole lot of story to uncover, the only thing that is stopping the production house from releasing the third instalment is time.

But if history has taught us anything, it's that fandom can move mountains. There is a high chance for Season 3 to release, but it might take a while before we get any more updates.
