The dance anime series reached its emotional conclusion.Wandance Episode 12 had an epic showdown between Kabu and his opponent, Kabe. It was amazing to think that Kabo really did grow so much over the course of the season. However, in the end, Kabo lost the battle, so he will not be able to move on to the final round. Predictably, they didn't show the end battle between Iori and Kabe. The Battle Between Kabo and KabeKabo as seen slicking his hair back (Image Source: Studio Madhouse)The Semifinals were at the heart of Wandance Episode 12. Kabe opened up with some bold moves mentally. He even did a fake handshake! He freaked his opponent out by dancing with a blindfold on! Kabe also had some pretty sick tech skills as a B-Boy, and he showed off some insane tricks like windmills and airflares.Kabo and Iori both had their own unique dance styles and had completely different approaches to battling. Kabo had a strong love for dance and an incredible connection to music, whereas Kabe had a different view of dance. Kabo incorporated techniques he learned from his mentors, Wanda and Iori, while still focusing on conserving energy and using a lot of movement in his performance, but making sure that he still made a strong statement. The dance sequences were a great example of how physically challenging and emotionally expressive dancing can be. Kabo has a great representation of visual storytelling in his slick back hairstyle. An Unexpected Outcome in Wandance Episode 12Kabo cries after losing in the semi-finals (Image Source: Studio Madhouse)Kabo didn't win the battle; he lost 2-1 in votes. But the proof of Kabo's success was shown to be profound. Judge Assay voted Kabo on his side after he saw Kabe with not a lot of confidence, which is a symbol of success in the sport; in a sense, he broke Kabe's poise with the fire of his passion.Kabo's emotional breakdown after the fight was pure devastation. He held everything together throughout the entire battle, and when it was all over, it finally hit him. That's how much he had invested in the art of dance; it was more than just a competition, it was a lifestyle.Wanda's Unwavering SupportWanda and Kabo, as seen in the finale (Image Source: Studio Madhouse)In Season 1 of Wandance Episode 12, Wanda was definitely Kabo's number one fan and supporter! It was obvious that she was able to pick up on how he was feeling, even without him saying a word. Her support helped to ground Kabo's journey, showing that while winning at a competition is awesome, it doesn't mean nearly as much when you don't have someone cheering you on.Throughout this season, we witnessed the development of a relationship between these two main characters, which became the emotional backbone for the audience. The Cliffhanger of Wandance Episode 12One controversial thing about Wander Episode 12 was that there wasn’t a battle between Iori and Kabe at the end of the episode. Everybody has been waitin’ for that all season! It was a big deal to watch these two styles go up against each other. The episode cleared up a lot of character arcs from the season, but didn’t finish the competition part. Kabo was a teenager who stuttered and couldn’t show his confidence, and now he’s a confident dancer. That’s pretty much how great Kabo has developed, and that success doesn’t always include wins. While an upcoming season hasn't yet been confirmed, there seems to be a hint of continuing interest with the cliffhanger finale, along with the announcement of another live-action movie for Wandance. So many characters got closure from the Wandance Episode 12 finale, but at the same time, it is a new start for many of them.
