Kagurabachi is one of the hottest Shonen Jump Magazine manga titles at the moment. While its popularity isn’t on the same level as Boruto or One Piece, it has managed to garner a dedicated readership. There are fans across the world who adore this series, and one of the main reasons is its battle system. While enchanted swords aren’t original per se, the abilities of each Enchanted Sword in Kagurabachi intrigued fans from the get-go.

There is one blade in particular that has gained traction over the past few months: the Magatsumi. Naturally, fans of the series seem to have one question in common: what does Magatsumi mean in Kagurabachi? Magatsumi roughly translates to “captured sin” in the Kagurabachi series. In fact, the blade is popularly referred to as the Shinuchi. This is one of the most powerful blades in the manga series so far. Chihiro Rokuhira’s father was responsible for forging all of the Enchanted Blades.

Following his death, Chihiro was entrusted with the safeguarding of these blades. However, they have all been stolen by various entities, and he is attempting to acquire them one by one. The Magatsumi is a tricky one, because it is the most powerful one among the lot. In fact, the first wielder lost his mind while using this blade. The spiritual energy manifests in the form of butterflies and flowers in the Kagurabachi series.

The Magatsumi oozes out a black-colored liquid that seeps into the ground, which in turn creates a field of flowers that kill people. The flowers grow inside the enemy, killing them from the inside out. This is extremely effective, making this one of the most feared blades in the Kagurabachi series. Furthermore, the Magatsumi happens to be the only blade that has more than three fundamental attack abilities.

There are four in total: Spider, Dragonfly, Centipede, and Malediction. The final move on the list is so powerful that it wiped out nearly 200,000 people. The author has yet to reveal the exact specifications of this technique. However, it appears to be a combination of Spider, Dragonfly, and Centipede roaming around in a massive flower field. The wielder at the time lost his mind when employing this technique. Fans will be interested to note that this is the only blade that can bypass the Lifelong Contract.

Other Enchanted Blades in Kagurabachi

Initially, there were six blades in total, with Magatsumi being the final one that was forged. However, Kushinige forged the Enten with the help of his son, who was entrusted with this blade along with the duty of safeguarding the other swords. Therefore, there are seven blades in total, of which only five have made an appearance: Enten, Cloud Gouder, Magatsumi, Kumeyuri, and Tobimune. Chihiro wields the Enten, in which the spiritual energy manifests in the form of a goldfish and water droplets.

The Cloud Gouger is an interesting blade that was initially wielded by Ibuki Misaka and the spiritual energy manifested in the form of clouds and a dragon. The Kumeyuri targets and impedes the senses of the enemy in Kagurabachi. Spiritual energy manifests in the form of faceless entities that resemble Oiran. Tobimune’s spiritual energy manifests in the form of black-colored feathers, which give its user the ability to fly. Last but not least, the Magatsumi’s spiritual energy manifests in the form of butterflies and flowers.

Magatsumi loosely translates to “captured sin” in the Kagurabachi series. The Enchanted Blades some one of the most important elements since the story’s progression depends on them. Furthermore, it is an integral part of the series’ battle system, which is why the author has laid a great deal of emphasis on Magatsumi and other blades mentioned above.
