In the vast and unpredictable world of One Punch Man, at every corner, there are either monsters, heroes, or villains. There is one character that stands out because of how they managed to face Saitama and survive. Though her screen time in the anime is brief, she quickly became a fan favorite. Thanks to her unique design and bizarre powers, it is none other than Mosquito Girl.
She is a mutant created in the House of Evolution, a laboratory where Dr. Genus developed powerful artificial beings. Although she has a humanlike face and physical features, Mosquito Girl also has a combination of insect physical traits. This means her powers come from draining blood from other organisms.
Despite looking almost like a human, she prefers insects because the Mosquito Girl in One Punch Man looks at humans and animals as her prey. She is the happiest draining her prey's blood and refers to other mosquitoes as her little ones, often treating them with care and showing maternal feelings.
Her character was introduced during the House of Evolution arc, where she had attacked City Z with a swarm of mosquitoes. Moreover, she was shown to be draining the blood of humans and animals alike. It was Genos who took her head on. Although he gave his best and took down many of her insects, he was no match for her.

She managed to cut off his arm. Interestingly, Genos did try to retaliate and tore one of her legs, which the Mosquito Girl regenerated quickly because of all the collected blood. Not only did she regenerate her severed body part, but she also became faster, stronger, and more dangerous, overpowering Genos.
However, after taking down Genos, her attention is shifted to Saitama. Unfortunately, as she was not aware of the caliber of her opponent, she met a swift and comedic end. He just slapped her once, which resulted in her being obliterated and thrown off because of the impact. This became one of the most iconic moments of Saitama in One Punch Man.
Later in the manga, it is revealed that she actually survived after being slapped by Saitama and is taking the help of Dr. Genus, who is regrowing her destroyed blood sack. Meanwhile, she is seen working at the House of Takoyaki alongside Armored Gorilla, being fed by a large syringe until she is fully restored.

In conclusion, the Mosquito Girl in One Punch Man is one of the villains who faced Saitama and still lived to tell the tale. She is part human and an insect, initially apprehensive of humans and animals. However, after being crushed, it is shown that she is kinder to all, except when someone tries to make fun of her appearance.
While she was defeated with a single slap, her survival and later reappearance show that she isn’t just comic relief. As she continues her recovery, it’s possible she could return to the battlefield stronger than ever.
