The Team behind the Yano-kun’s Ordinary Days anime

The anime has an impressive team working behind the scenes. Shinpei Matsuo from Bokura no Nanokakan Sensou directs the series at Ajia-do, while Deko Akao from Noragami handles the series composition. Toshihisa Kaiya from Naruto, World Trigger, and Haikyuu!! is responsible for character designs. Hideakira Kimura from Gundam Build Divers Re: Rise has composed the music. The sound direction is led by Yayoi Tateishi, with Bit Grooove Promotion and Nippon TV Music producing it.

The voice cast is equally strong. Kohei Amasaki stars as Tsuyoshi Yano, with Yuka Nukui as Kiyoko Yoshida. Atsumi Tanezaki plays Mei, Kiyoko’s best friend, and Taito Ban is Hashiba, the class representative with whom Kiyoko shares responsibilities. The cast includes Rie Takahashi as Izumi, Ryota Iwasaki as Tanaka, Satoshi Hino as Yano’s father, and Takuya Eguchi as the homeroom teacher, Mr. Omiya. New addition Konomi Kohara voices Okamoto, a mysterious girl who appears around Yano and changes the character dynamics in the story.

The opening theme is “POP LIFE” by FANTASTICS, which delivers a high-energy funfest to go along with Yano's everyday trials and tribulations. Musically, the song is an up-tempo number with exulting brass instrumentation. It is about enjoying life and not worrying about the little things that pull us back. iScream’s “Better Off,” the ending theme, is quite calming and really rounds off an episode.
