After Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 15’s shocking and dramatic reveal, Yuka Okkotsu fell from a cargo plane in a wheelchair with severe brain cancer and summoned Mahoraga mid-fall before disappearing into a shadow. This scene validated multiple theories regarding Yuka’s curse technique and demonstrated a level of tactical sophistication exceeding previous Ten Shadows users.

Yuka’s maternal grandfather, Maki, was from the Zenin bloodline and had inherited the Ten Shadows Technique, so Yuka also inherited this technique through her relationship with Maki. Yuka’s application of the technique is unique and exciting because she used it to prevent herself from being killed by Mahoraga’s uncontrollable rampage while placing the Divine General in a position to attack Dabura.

Chapter 15 of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo exhibits Yuka summoning an untamed creature through the ritual Ten Shadows, as the Divine Dog and Demon Dog Totality sigils appear during this procedure. Shikigami that are tamed obey their summoner, whereas those summoned through ritual techniques are not tamed and will simply attack anything within their vicinity.

Yuka demonstrates a developed understanding of this technique compared to Megumi. She did not stand her ground and die with her enemy. Instead, Yuka leveraged her height to avoid falling into the shadow and then plunged downward into it, using the shadow's speed and momentum to push her toward Mahoraga before Mahoraga appeared.

Yuka's combat style, while showing an understanding of Megumi's tactical philosophy, does not simply copy his way of fighting. A prime example of this is Yuka's technique called Biting Claw Fists, which lets her use Divine Dog ability powers through reinforced cursed energy instead of using the full summoning version. This is similar to how Megumi used Rabbit Escape's properties to boost his own mobility.

Throughout the Goodwill Event arc, Megumi used "shadow immersion" as a defensive tactic. Exhausted by all the cursed spirits, he would sink into the shadows to reposition himself or to escape from the situation. He seldom combined the ritual summoning with this tactic because it placed him in a position where he would have to accept the fact that he was going to die.

Yuka, on the other hand, has been given a terminal diagnosis of three months to live and has removed the mental barrier associated with dying. In her case, she is going to "go for broke," by taking everything she has left and using her shadows to produce the most harm to the cursed spirits before her time runs out.

Yuka's flashbacks in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 15 reveal similar psychology. She wishes she could have been a better sister to Tsurugi, viewing her remaining time as an opportunity to protect others through sacrifice.

The Zenin Inheritance Question in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo

The fact that Yuka can use Ten Shadows confirms a few things that have been going on in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo. It shows us why the Gojo clan wouldn’t let her into their place to learn the cursed techniques despite being so talented. Because Yuka is a Zenin user, she couldn’t get to the Gojo family’s stuff, even though Yuta said he was going to make him the next clan leader in his will.

The technique's reappearance within two generations raises questions about inheritance patterns. Gojo Satoru stated that Ten Shadows users appear rarely enough that historical duels between Gojo and Zenin clan heads featured these specific techniques. Yet Yuka inherited it less than 70 years after Megumi.

Looks like the reappearance of the technique so quickly after Gojo and Zenin indicates that it is still inherited, plus since Gojo mentioned that there were only a few users of the technique and that it was used during historical duels between Gojo and Zenin clan leaders. Yuka probably acquired the technique very recently since she hasn't been using it for as long as Megumi, but has received it sometime in the last 70 years.

Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 15 fulfills many months of speculation and has certainly surpassed what was previously thought to be the limit of execution quality. Yuka's Ten Shadows has changed the way that her past battle performance will be viewed.
