Eileen Fulton heads to San Francisco, UConn

Eileen Fulton has been keeping busy since the end of As the World Turns. The daytime icon is taking her cabaret show to San Francisco, and she'll appear on-stage in Connecticut.

Eileen Fulton (Lisa Grimladi) takes her one-woman show, Blame It On My Youth, to San Francisco's Rrazz Room at Hotel Nikko on Sunday, June 5, at 3:00 PM.

Directed by Diana Basmajian with Bob Goldstone as Music Director, Fulton will add her signature flair to such classics including "There is a Time/I Left My Heart in San Francisco", Billie Holiday's "I Wished on the Moon," "As the World Turns," and many more. She will also perform an encore of her special rendition of "Blame It On My Youth," the famous jazz standard written by Oscar Levant and Edward Heyman.

During the show, Fulton will share memorable stories of growing up as a preacher's daughter in North Carolina, becoming the vixen of daytime television, her time spent in Hollywood, and all of her loves (including the men who got away).

The show has a $30 music charge with a two drink minimum. The Rrazz Room at Hotel Nikko is located at 222 Mason Street, San Francisco, CA 94102. For reservations or to purchase tickets, please call: 415.394.1189 or visit: www.therrazzroom.com.

In July, Fulton will appear on-stage with two-time Tony nominee Terrence Mann in the Connecticut Repertory Theatre summer production of My Fair Lady. Fulton will portray Mrs. Higgins in the classic musical that runs July 7 to 17 in the Harriet S. Jorgensen Theatre.

My Fair Lady is based on George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion and features a book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe. The original Broadway production opened on March 15, 1956, ran for over six years, and won nine Tony Awards, including one for Best Musical. The score contains such Broadway classics as "I Could Have Danced All Night," "On the Street Where You Live," "Wouldn't It Be Loverly?" and "Get Me to the Church on Time."

Tickets for My Fair Lady are now available by calling the Jorgensen Box Office at 860.486.4226 or by visiting www.crt.uconn.edu.
