Bailey Chase lands multi-episode Chicago P.D. role

While resurrection rumors circle his recently canceled primetime series, Longmire, former As the World Turns star Bailey Chase has landed a role on the NBC series Chicago P.D.

As the World Turns vet Bailey Chase (ex-Chris Hughes) has landed a guest-starring role on the NBC primetime drama Chicago P.D.

According to Deadline Hollywood, Chase will play DEA Agent David Lang in a multi-episode story arc on the series. In story, Chase's character attempts to lure Erin Lindsay (played by actress Sophia Bush) to a new task force that he's heading.

Chase appeared on As the World Turns from January 2003 to January 2005. From 2012 until earlier this year, he headlined the A&E primetime series Longmire. After three years of decent ratings, A&E canceled the show this summer. There are reports that the series may be picked up by the USA Network for a fourth season. The show's producers aren't commenting, but have previously publicly acknowledged that they shopped the crime drama to Amazon and Netflix.

Chicago P.D., which also stars ATWT alum Jesse Soffer (ex-Will Munson), airs Wednesdays at 10pm ET/PT on NBC.
