The Bold and the Beautiful's executive producer and head writer, Brad Bell, is happy to announce that there will be a ton of drama on the canvas this autumn, and one of the exciting things he divulged in his recent B&B fall preview with Soap Opera Digest is that Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) may be getting a sister!
"We're in the process of casting a role and it will be most likely Zoe's sister," Bell teases. "So we're looking into bringing in a new character to play with Zende [Delon de Metz] and Carter [Lawrence Saint-Victor] and Zoe."
A fourth person added to the mix will keep those characters' hands full. After all, they've already got quite a bit going on in the weeks ahead.
Teases Bell, "Carter is going to get a promotion at the office and Zoe will be actively working with the Hope for the Future line, so they're both happy and through it all, they find a magical relationship. At the same time, we have Zende returning to the canvas. Zende is going to turn some heads immediately and he may prove to be a challenge to Carter as Zoe takes notice of this new man."
As for what else will be happening on B&B this fall, Bell says to look for Liam (Scott Clifton) and Hope (Annika Noelle) to get involved with Steffy's (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) drug addiction storyline.
"People are picking up signs that there may be trouble with Steffy," the exec says. "We're going to see Hope voice her concerns that Kelly may be in trouble. So Liam will be caught in the middle, understanding Hope's concerns and not wanting to take a daughter away from Steffy during this time, so we'll get into some real interesting debates between Hope and Steffy that will get very heated."
Meanwhile, watch for Bill (Don Diamont), Katie (Heather Tom), Wyatt (Darin Brooks), Flo (Katrina Bowden), and Eric (John McCook) to get pulled into the complicated love triangle between Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), Shauna (Denise Richards), and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye). They'll all play a part, somehow or another!
