The Bold and the Beautiful's Denise Richards knows a thing or two about being in the middle of complicated relationship issues, having been a part of a B&B storyline involving Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), Quinn (Rena Sofer), and Richards' soap opera alter ego, Shauna Fulton. So, the actress was a perfect fit for the upcoming romantic comedy film Love Accidentally.
The independent project, which just wrapped filming, follows arch rivals Alexa (Brenda Song) and Jason (Aaron O'Connell), who are unknowingly competing for the top sales director job at their advertising company owned by Debra (Richards). When their significant others each break up with them, Alexa accidentally sends Jason a "broken heart" text, thinking she's texting her friend. But as their heartfelt texts continue, they start to fall for each other -- neither realizing that they are the same coworkers who have been competing for the same job for months. When the truth comes out, will they be able to put their preconceptions about one another aside and let true love prevail?
At this time, a release date for Love Accidentally has yet to be announced, but fans can look forward to seeing a couple more soap stars when it makes its debut. Marc Anthony Samuel (Felix DuBois, General Hospital), Brooke Newton (ex-Colby Chandler, All My Children), and Maxwell Caulfield (ex-Pierce Riley, AMC; ex-Miles Colby, Dynasty) are listed in the film's credits.
Love Accidentally is being produced by Hybrid, which was founded in 2008 by independent producers Barry Barnholtz and Jeffrey Schenck. The company has produced over 100 films and is known for many suspenseful thrillers, such as Summoned (starring Cuba Gooding Jr. and Ashley Scott), Sniper: Special Ops (starring Steven Seagal), and Abandoned (starring Brittany Murphy). Many Hybrid movies are seen on Lifetime, Netflix, Hallmark, OWN, Ion, and SYFY.
