On The Bold and the Beautiful, miracles do happen: Liam might be cured, the inoperable tumor was surgically removed, and life is about to go back to normal. Or will it?
Liam’s ‘inoperable’ surgery on The Bold and the Beautiful

What just happened? Liam is cured now, and the tumor been completely removed — after being told for months he had an “inoperable” mass. What happened here is one of two things: either Grace really did just happen to know of a miracle cure, or Dr. Adhikari was faking it.
Either way, we’re sure that Bill was taken for a ride, and the vulnerable father was just milked for a million dollars. His fears of losing his son were preyed upon, complete with an eleventh-hour miracle at just the right moment and just the right time. Had all the stars aligned, Mercury wasn’t in retrograde, and pillars were lit at all sites of the ancient wonders, allowing a cosmic event capable of curing Liam? Or is “Dr. Adhikari” just an actor pretending to be the foreign miracle worker. He was rather non-communicative for someone who would save Liam’s life, and being paid a million dollars for it.

It appears the good Dr. Buckingham (Cassandra Creech) was being pressured for money. Is this her debt or is she being held accountable for her husband’s problems? If so, once again, a Dr. Buckingham has nearly ruined Liam’s life, with the same people being collateral damage.
In the category for the most suspicious surgery ever (drum roll), Liam’s miracle is a winner by landslide. The Soap Central Message Boards are alive with discussion on this very topic.
Board user ekek got things started with, “Yeah right. Pathology is finished with their report. And the surgery was done in Liams hospital room right after Bill stepped out. Maybe someone should worry about infection.”

Regular poster fracabell added, “Either Liam is fine and it will be all a distant memory, or Grace just took Bill for money, and yet another person used Bill. Thats all he is on the show for. This is really a comedy, and about the funniest thing I have ever heard. Supposed to be sad, but its freaking hilarious how Liam is dying one minute, gets shot, and then wants to live and a "sudden" experimental cure comes and is performed 5 mins later. Such a darn hilarious show this is. Likely not what Bell wants, but its like how much more stupid can this get?”
“That was a million dollar shake down” — Soap Central Message Board user, MLK
GrandSuSu agreed, “I dunno…the whole thing seemed suspiciously anti-climatic to me. The transfer of funds, the nod from the mysterious doctor, no anesthesiologist or surgical nurses, plus the need to do it secretly and immediately - I think it’s a scam.”
Valued contributor BrendaBlanks wrote, “That was the most suspicious surgery ever!!! It not only looked like Dr. Buckingham did the surgery but, the other so called doctor didn't speak English very well and was the assist in the surgery room. This all seems like some sort of scam.”

It’s hard not to make a case for this being Bill taken advantage of. Next week, when we see Grace deposit the million dollars, we may discover what her true character is. Will she be relieved? Or will she be smug that she pulled off a scam?
In fact, was Liam ever in danger of actually dying, or is he really “clear” of all cancer now? Was this entire experimental treatment the scam? Enquiring minds want to know. Stay tuned, soap fans.
