Soap opera stars from The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless are helping children in the Los Angeles area this holiday season.
Actors and staffs from both shows are participating in the Chips for Kids Toy Drive, which is a Christmas charity project sponsored by the California Highway Patrol.
The Bold and the Beautiful, Young and the Restless stars promote charity work
CBS Los Angeles promoted the charity drive on its programming this week. Reporters interviewed stars from both shows this week to promote the charity drive. The network also showed the Los Angeles Kings hockey team and other sports organizations heoping with the charity.

One of the stars interviewed was Tanner Novlan, who plays Dr. John Finnegan on The Bold and the Beautiful. He had a pair of bags filled with toys in his hands, representing part of the donation made by employees of the show. He was on the broadcast with several officers representing the highway patrol.
CBS put that interview on its Instagram Stories, and Novlan shared the link to it.
Santa Claus himself was also part of the interview, and The Bold and the Beautiful star started the interview by asking Santa if he could send a message to his young son, Jones. Novlan said his son had been misbehaving that morning. Santa said he was watching and answered other questions from the news reporter.
Novlan said the bags were filled with toys representing Bluey and Barbie, among other brands.
“it’s always been a great cause, and we’re big supporters of Chips and everything they do for children,” Novlan said in the interview.
The Young and the Restless stars Sean Dominic (Dr. Nate Hastings) and Mark Grossman (Adam Newman) also were part of the charity drive, doing an interview with different CBS LA reporters. They were also pictured with members of the California Highway Patrol.
“It’s a beautiful thing,” Dominic said. “I have a 2-year old and to see kids play with toys is amazing.”
Grossman was dressed for the occasion, wearing a Christmas tree hoodie with ornaments on it.
Grossman was holding a monster truck toy package. “I would have loved this as a kid. Kids are extremely important and so we just want to bring awareness. If you have the means, please donate and bring joy to as many kids as possible.”
