Forget Mother's Day. It's Father's Day in LA: The Bold and the Beautiful Two Scoops for the week of May 5

It feels like The Bold and the Beautiful got the holidays mixed up this year, as fathers became the theme of the week. One father is dying, one needs to mind his own business, another has quite a dilemma, and yet another is about to get the shock of his life.

On The Bold and the Beautiful, Daddy knows best...maybe...

It turns out that Carter was Hope's sunshine in the morning. Amazing for two people who barely had a romance before stealing a company because their feelings were hurt. However, Hope still can't bring herself to take her morning sunshine back, but she'll think about it and get back to Mr. Sunshine himself, Carter Walton.

Daphne Rose will take Carter's sunshine any day of the week and keeps letting him know it in no uncertain terms. Deacon also knows it and has warned Hope that Carter is not the right man for her. Brooke begs to differ, but neither one of them knows the chaos that is about to come into Hope's life. Deacon is sure that Hope and Liam belong together, but Deacon is going to be in for quite a surprise when he learns that Mother Nature is ready to take the chance of any Lope reunion away. But, it's the thought that counts, right, Deacon?

Speak up, Liam

Then we have Liam, a father who knows he will not get the chance to watch his daughters grow up. All he could think about was his two little girls, but he still spent the week afraid to tell one of his baby mamas the truth. Our hearts broke for Liam all week, but that didn't mean we didn't want to punch him every time he opened his mouth to tell a confused Hope the truth and then just... didn't.

Instead, Liam just wanted his sister wives to finally get along. He knows what he broke when he waffled back and forth between Hope and Steffy for years. Now, his impending death has made him see how wrong he was. Amazingly, it's not a matter of too little, too late because when it comes to Liam, one thing Hope and Steffy could always agree upon was that they loved him. In fact, Steffy loves Liam so much that she broke his trust. Something tells us that there won't be much fallout for Steffy because nothing ever does.

Steffy speaks up instead

Leave it to Steffy to just do what she wants. Yes, Hope had a right to know about Liam, but Steffy made a promise. We were pretty torn as to whether Steffy did the right thing. Sometimes men can be stubborn and not do what they should, but on the other hand, it was not Steffy's place. But what's done is done, and now our sister wives have hugged it out and will come together for Liam's sake.

And they will cry. And cry. And cry some more. The only time Steffy has taken a break from crying for weeks was when she attended the Forrester fashion show. Watching her seethe over Brooke in that wedding gown made us think she forgot Liam even existed. It was odd, but now she is back to her regularly scheduled 24/7 weep fests.

Hope just knew there had to be something wrong with Liam because he had never tried to throw her into another man's arms in the decade-and-a-half they had known each other. That should have been her first clue that something just wasn't quite right.

You know what else isn't quite right? The new Liam and Finn mutual admiration bro fest. Since when on The Bold and the Beautiful have these two grown so close? Liam is the man that Finn once called a Little Puke. He also still has no clue that Liam planted a few unwanted kisses on his wife back in 2023. Steffy clearly did not feel they were important enough to mention.

We soon expect to see Finn melting into a puddle of tears over Liam's plight more than Steffy and Hope. Who will feel this loss more, if this loss even comes?

Will Liam bring Luna luck?

Finn is still reeling from the fact that he is the father of a daughter, a grown daughter who is also a serial killer who locked his wife in a cage and left her to die last year. But that's okay because she is sorry, so Finn should love her now. At least in the world according to Luna and Sheila. There has never been a woman so happy to have a crazy granddaughter, and so determined to make her granddaughter's dreams come true.

At least they haven't resorted to trickery just yet. No, Luna is just trying to appeal to Finn's good nature, believing he would never turn his back on his own daughter. Considering all the conversations he's had with Liam about being there for your daughters the last few weeks, who wants to bet Luna's dreams are about to come true? Who wants to also bet that Steffy will be a hypocrite about the whole situation?

Dollar Bill is about to find out

Now that Liam has vowed to be the best father possible and his new BFF Finn has to decide whether to reject his daughter again, Liam finally got the nerve to get Dollar Bill Spencer in on the act. Bill jumping at the chance to see Liam felt a bit off, considering how they left things last month. Are we to assume they have spoken since then and made amends with Liam, just not mentioning he is dying?

After the way Bill treated Liam just before Liam ended up on his living room floor, this news could be a reckoning for Bill, indeed.
