The Bold and the Beautiful is about to embark on its first storyline with a gay couple in its 38-year history. Harrison Cone has been cast as a newcomer who will have ties to another major character, but his name is being kept under wraps for now, according to Deadline.
Introducing Harrison Cone...

The 22-year-old Cone was born in Englewood, CO, where he grew up immersed in performing. He appeared in various theater productions and learned to play guitar with his father before pursuing a career in acting and music.
He first started appearing in commercials as a teen, including ads for Google, Pepsi, and Dr. Pepper. Since then, he has had numerous professional roles, including parts in Stage Fright, American Horror Stories, Hacks, and I Wish You All The Best.
A new story for The Bold and the Beautiful's Remy

While details about Cone's character are still a secret, we do know that he will be an up-and-coming designer involved with Remy Price, the young man who was obsessed with Electra since childhood, but who helped Luna (Lisa Yamada) learn how to shoot a gun.
Christian Weissmann began playing Remy last November and was recently nominated for a Daytime Emmy for playing the reformed stalker.
While this will be The Bold and the Beautiful's first male gay couple, the soap is no stranger to storylines involving the LGBTQ+ community. B&B once featured Karen Spencer (Joanna Johnson) and Danielle Spencer (Crystal Chapel), parents of Caroline Spencer. Karen was the sister of Ridge's (Thorsten Kaye) first wife, Caroline, and the mother of the younger Caroline, who died from a brain tumor when Douglas Forrester was just a pre-schooler.
B&B also featured a transgender model, Maya Avant (Karla Mosley), who married Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Eric's (John McCook) son, Rick Forrester (Jacob Young). Rick and Maya married in soaps' first major wedding featuring a transgender character.
However, soaps have been featuring LGBTQ+ characters for years. Currently, two soaps have prominent gay male couples. General Hospital gives us Lucas (Van Hansis) and Marco (Adrian Anchondo), while Days of our Lives has Javi (Al Calderon) and Leo (Greg Rikaart). DAYS was also the first soap to feature a gay male wedding when Will Horton (then played by Guy Wilson) and Sonny Kiriakis (then played by Freddie Smith) married in 2014.
Cone is set to make his B&B debut as this new mystery character on Tuesday, September 16.
