The Bold and the Beautiful alum Susan Flannery hasn't been a regular part of the soap opera scene since 2012, but that doesn't mean her old soap pals weren't on hand to bid her farewell as the Daytime Emmy Award-winning actress makes a big move — to Australia.
The Bold and the Beautiful friends say goodbye

Ashley Jones (Bridget Forrester) and B&B Supervising Producer Casey Kasprzyk both took to Instagram to share photos from Flannery's farewell party, which also included Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Logan) as a guest.
Jones described the celebration and the fun the guests had sharing memories of Flannery through the years.
"Susan Flannery played Stephanie Forrester for 25 years," Jones wrote in her Instagram stories. "Grateful we got to tell her yesterday what she meant to us. Emotional stories. Special stories. Susan elevated our how, demanded the best. It was cool to be there, hearing Katherine Kelly Lang talk about all those years of Stephanie and Brooke. Susan is such a force. I learned so much from her."
Susan Flannery is a B&B legend

Flannery got her soap opera start as Dr. Laura Horton on Days of our Lives in 1966. She played the beloved character until 1975 when she won her first Daytime Emmy award for Outstanding Lead Actress. During her time on DAYS, Flannery also met Bill Bell, who wrote the soap before leaving to create The Young and the Restless.
In 1987, when Bell was getting ready to launch a brand-new soap, he cast Flannery as Forrester matriarch Stephanie Douglas Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful. For the next quarter of a century, Flannery made Stephanie a force to be reckoned with. She never let anyone bring her down, especially Brooke Logan, the "slut from the Valley" with whom Stephanie battled for decades.
The two characters came full circle when Stephanie died from cancer with Brooke by her side in 2012.
In 2000, Flannery took home her second Daytime Emmy for Lead Actress. Her third trophy came in 2003. Flannery was also the star who gave birth to the Daytime Emmy Lead Actress luncheon, in which the winner from the previous year hosts a lunch for that year's nominees.
Now, Flannery is leaving Los Angeles for a brand-new life across the world, and Soap Central wishes her the best of luck.
