Welcome to The Bold and the Beautiful Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

On The Bold and the Beautiful, even fake L.A. can affect an out-of-towner who tries to make a go of it, just like the real one can. Daphne Rose came to the city from Paris, a confident, if not uppity, and successful businesswoman who was sure that there wasn’t a man in the land of ooh-la-la who could resist her. But, as fate would have it, her target turned out to be that one guy on Earth who didn’t want her. At least not full-time. Turns out that the irresistible Daphne Rose lost her talent for charming men when she got to Forrester. And then she lost her confidence. There also went her friendships. And, ultimately, her job. So, back to France it is for Ms. Daphne Rose, with her tail tucked firmly between her legs. And the irony of it all? She was the one person who could communicate. While the depth of her love-at-first-sight dedication to Carter was questionable, the woman wore her heart on her sleeve. She told everyone how she felt, from Carter himself to her BFF Steffy when she hurt her feelings. The air was thick with accent-uated perfume when Daphne was around, but at least nothing she did or said led to miscommunications. “You hurt my feelings when you brought back Hope without telling me,” she said clearly to Steffy, then admitted she was embarrassed for pouring her heart out to a guy who only wanted her as a backup. There were a lot of things that didn’t work when Daphne was around (like Carter), but it was a refreshing change to have someone actually just communicate what they thought and felt. Maybe it’ll be a new Forrester trend, and we won’t be saying au revoir to that!
