The Bold and the Beautiful's Daily YAPP Recap, May 7: A dying man's wishes...ignored

Welcome to The Bold and the Beautiful Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What Happened on The Bold and the Beautiful

On The Bold and the Beautiful, is there something in the water in fake L.A. that prevents people from doing (really important) things that people ask of them? First Ridge is trying his damndest to be in a committed relationship, and no one wants him to, and now Liam just found out, like days ago in soap time — he’s still wearing the same hat for Pete’s sake — that he’s dying. He hasn’t even returned to the hospital and heard it from his doctor, gotten a second opinion, or seen the scan of his brain where there is, supposedly, a giant, inoperable mass. So why would he be in a rush to tell people that he’s dying? Well, he’s not. In fact, he wants to give himself some time to process it and to think of ways to make the world a better place before he goes. He said he didn’t want everyone uprooting their lives and making it all about him, but that’s not a problem for Steffy, apparently. First, Finn texted…read that again…texted her that Liam was dying. And then Steffy told Liam, not even with a doctor present. And then, he asked for time to tell Hope and she said nope, she would be the one to tell her. Granted, she had some valid arguments why Liam should tell Hope the truth, but she didn’t need to rush over there. “Grieving can wait until after I’m gone,” Liam told Steffy and Finn. Fair point. Isn’t it his choice? Not in fake L.A., and not when Steffy disagrees.
