What's next on The Bold and the Beautiful
Steffy witnessed the growing connection between Taylor and Deacon, and she wasted no time shutting it down. She is vehemently opposed to her mother and Deacon having any romantic involvement, and that's mostly due to Deacon's marriage to Sheila. Not only has Sheila shot Taylor in the past, but she also put a bullet into Steffy herself, as well as Steffy's husband, Finn.
When Sheila is backed into a corner, she's capable of anything, and that's precisely what worries Steffy. Steffy has only recently reached a place where she is mostly off of Sheila's radar. For now, her mother-in-law hasn't intruded on her life or caused any harm, and Steffy would like for it to remain that way.
If Sheila learns the extent of Deacon and Taylor's emotional connection, there's a significant possibility that the unhinged and evil Sheila of the past would return. Sheila has come a long way recently, and this could be the final straw that returns her to the dark side.
Why, Daphne? Why?
The moment Steffy told Carter that Daphne was packing up and leaving for Paris, it felt like a foregone conclusion that he'd be on bended knee by week's end. Carter is obsessed with the idea of being someone's husband, and Daphne's desire to start a family was the perfect opening for him to make that a reality. On Monday's episode, Daphne agrees to marry Carter, and it's a safe bet that this won't be a long engagement.
Daphne wants to be a mother, and Carter wants to be a husband. The quicker Carter can fast-track the wedding, the quicker they can begin the process of starting a family. Carter is a highly intelligent man, and he knows that this is the best way to keep Daphne in his life. Having a child with Daphne will tie her to him for the rest of their lives. All of Carter's previous relationships came to an abrupt ending, usually during or right before the wedding. This time feels different, but it's unclear if that's for the better.
