Hot on the heels of trips to the United Arab Emirates and France, The Bold and the Beautiful is reportedly prepping for another trip overseas: the Netherlands.
The Amsterdam-based daily newspaper, Het Parool, reports that B&B executives will travel to the European city next week to finalize plans for a shoot that will take place in the fall.
It is unclear at this time which characters will be involved in the on-location shoot or where B&B will film within Amsterdam. However, expect to see some shots of the city's many canals; with its composition of more than 90 island, 60 miles of canals, and 1200 bridges, Amsterdam has been nicknamed "Venice of the North."
Seizing on its title as the world's most-watched daytime soap opera, The Bold and the Beautiful is the only U.S.-based soap to routinely film abroad. In just the last two years, The Bold and the Beautiful has ventured to foreign destinations three different times.
In March, the CBS soap filmed for three days in the United Arab Emirates. Just last month, B&B traveled to Paris to mark the 25th anniversary of the show being broadcast in France. Those episodes are set to air next month. In 2012, The Bold and the Beautiful ventured to Puglia, Italy.
The Bold and the Beautiful has been broadcast in the Netherlands on RTL since the 1990s.
