Dodgers baseball player Enrique Hernandez to guest star on B&B

Dodgers baseball player Enrique Hernandez is set to hit an acting home run on The Bold and the Beautiful.

The bases are now loaded at The Bold and the Beautiful with the addition of the CBS soap's latest guest star: L.A. Dodgers player Enrique HernŠndez.

The Puerto Rican professional filmed a small role said to be very helpful, with another character tasked with singing the National Anthem -- something that should sound familiar to B&B fans, considering both Reign Edwards (Nicole Avant) and Karla Mosley (Maya Avant) have done so at real-life Dodgers games.

It might make the fashionable Forresters cringe, but Hernandez has been spotted in the dugout, wearing a banana suit. Judging by the CBS publicity photo, however, it looks like Hernandez will be wearing something with a little more Forrester, um, a-peel.

Will Hernandez's music pitch be as good a baseball player's pitch? And which B&B character will have to sing The Star Spangled Banner? Tune in to catch Hernandez's appearance on Monday, September 12, to find out.

UPDATE: Tell your husbands, tell your boyfriends, tell your sports fan friends -- basically, tell everyone -- Soap Central has learned Maya will be the lucky character tasked with singing the National Anthem, and she'll be doing so at a real-life Dodgers game, meaning B&B fans get to catch some serious baseball action. Score!
