Fans who are hoping to catch even more of the talented and handsome daytime actor Darin Brooks (Wyatt Spencer, The Bold and the Beautiful; ex-Max Brady, Days of our Lives) on their screens just have to tune into Lifetime. The drama-filled network has cast the actor in its upcoming thriller Her Secret Family Killer.
Previously titled DNA Killer, the film follows Sarah (Brooke Nevin), whose best friend, Victoria (Carmen Moreno), gives her a genetic testing kit as a birthday gift so she can discover more about her family lineage. That same night, Victoria tragically winds up dead. Weeks after the death, the police come to Sarah's door. In a chilling twist, she learns that after Victoria's homicide case went cold, the authorities ran the killer's DNA through the genetic testing site's database and turned up a match -- Sarah. This means that someone in Sarah's family murdered her best friend... but who?
How Brooks fits into the film remains a mystery, but his character's name is Will. Additional cast members include Gustavo Escobar, Brian Ames, Devin Crittenden, Will Holman, and Pamela Roylance (ex-Sandy Horton, Days of our Lives).
Her Secret Family Killer is set to premiere on Lifetime on Sunday, February 16, at 8PM EST.
Brooks joined B&B in 2013. His previous credits included Blue Mountain State, Bloomers, Miss Behave, and Days of our Lives, where he played the role of Max Brady from 2005 to 2011. He also recently joined Pierson Fodé (ex-Thomas Forrester, B&B), Michelle Argyris (Kendra Lennon, General Hospital), Eric Roberts (ex-Vance Abrams, Y&R), Chaz Bono (ex-Reverend Rydell, B&B), and his real-life wife, Kelly Kruger (ex-Mackenzie Browning, The Young and the Restless), in the comedy film Reboot Camp.
