Guess who's returning to Genoa City later this month? The Bold and the Beautiful's Eric Forrester (John McCook), who will be visiting Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) on The Young and the Restless.

The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful are pulling out some crossover magic again, this time with B&B's John McCook (Eric Forrester) heading over to Y&R. The actor will be appearing in Genoa City on Monday, June 14; Wednesday, June 16; and Thursday, June 17, in scenes with Courtney Hope, who, as fans know, originally played her Y&R character, Sally Spectra, on B&B.

"It's about Sally coming to L.A. to visit Eric but it was shot on Y&R's balcony," McCook shares with Soap Opera Digest of his Y&R scenes. "They put up a very nice limbo kind of set that's supposed to be an outdoor patio at Forrester Creations."

Sadly, this time around, Eric won't be mixing it up with any other characters in Genoa City -- which would have been a hoot, considering he's come over to B&B's sister show before and he got his start playing Y&R's Lance Prentiss in the mid-70s. But he was thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Hope again.

"Courtney is a sweet, wonderful girl who's very conscientious," he enthuses. "I really enjoyed working with her again."

As for his thoughts on Y&R and B&B exploring crossover potential, McCook says he's a big fan.

"I think crossing over is a wonderful wrinkle for us to do as much as possible. It wasn't too long ago that Don Diamont [Bill Spencer, B&B; ex-Brad Carlton, Y&R] crossed over to Y&R, which was his old stomping grounds, and Hunter King [Summer Newman, Y&R] came over to our show for a couple of days," he says. "It's really a unique way for these two soaps to connect across the country."
