Don't miss Monday's episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, which will be dedicated to the show's late alum Betty White (ex-Ann Douglas) on what would have been her 100th birthday.

Monday, January 17, would have been the 100th birthday of legendary actress and comedian Betty White, who passed away on December 31. The Bold and the Beautiful, where White played the role of Ann Douglas from 2006 to 2009, will be dedicating that day's episode to the late star.

White played the mother of Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery) and Pam Douglas (Alley Mills) while on B&B, where she was involved in a prominent storyline in which Stephanie remembered being abused by her father and confronted Ann about her traumatic childhood experiences. Ann denied Stephanie's claims, even though they were true.

In a 2009 interview with Tulsa World, White -- who was mostly known for her comedic roles -- revealed that it was a real pleasure for her to tackle such dark material.

"It's... such a great stretch because I don't get the chance to do serious acting," she enthused. "So, to get some serious things to do was kind of fun."

White also shared that the cast of B&B couldn't have been more welcoming -- despite the fact that she was playing such a lousy mother.

"It's such a great show to work on. They are the nicest people in the world, and they greet you back like a member of the family -- even though it's a member of the family they don't like on camera!" the actress joked, adding, "You're playing very heavy, serious scenes, and, during the breaks, you can laugh at it all. It's nice that they don't take themselves so seriously that they can't get out of character."

White made her final B&B appearance in 2009 for a story in which Ann battled pancreatic cancer. Knowing their mother didn't want to die in a hospital, Stephanie and Pam broke Ann out of the facility in which she'd been admitted and took her to the beach, where the mother/daughter trio made amends before Ann peacefully passed away.

"I was very happy with how they handled Ann's story," White shared of the character's final chapter. "We had one beautiful day up at Malibu on the beach. We were up at Paradise Cove and Ann is so taken with this setting -- again, another side of Ann that you don't expect to see -- that, for me, it opened up a new door for playing Ann."
