The Bold and the Beautiful is adding a new face to its cast -- and from the sound of it, it looks like R.J. Forrester might be getting a friend.
TVLine reports that Cruel Summer star Lisa Yamada has been cast in the new contract role of Luna. Luna is described as a college student studying fashion design, and she has a secret.
Yamada's casting comes as Soap Central's just-posted Fall Preview hints that R.J. will meet a young woman with a secret. It's unclear if R.J. and Luna might become a couple, but it's clear that the two will definitely forge some sort of connection.
Yamada has been in a bunch of buzzy series over the past year. In addition to playing Parker in Season Two of Cruel Summer, she has also appeared in Never Have I Ever and All of Us Are Dead. She also appeared in 2014's You're the Worst and 2020's Little Fires Everywhere.
Yamada started taping scenes last week, and she's expected to pop up on-screen Wednesday, September 13.
