The Bold and the Beautiful: Are we about to get a bromance between Deacon and Bill?

Monday's episode of The Bold and the Beautiful featured a conversation between Deacon and Bill that was a charming mix of snark, smiles, confessions, and compliments. Could these two men, who have never liked each other, actually be on the road to a bromance?

At The Bold and the Beautiful's Il Giardino, Bill (Don Diamont) took his plate to the bar so that Katie (Heather Tom) could speak privately to Deke (Harrison Cone) at their table. Meanwhile, Deacon (Sean Kanan) tried to make friendly conversation with Bill, who seemed a little crabby at first and just wanted to be left alone to eat his Belgian waffle in peace. Deacon was shocked when Bill ordered a club soda, as we all know how much Dollar Bill loves scotch. When Deacon asked if that was all, Bill replied with a snarky smile, "And a lime."

Bill confessed that he's trying to change his ways. Deacon can relate, as he's also been making changes for the better (namely, his purchase of Il Giardino). Deacon showered Bill with praise for convincing Katie to marry him on the same night he proposed. Bill made another confession: he'd been trying to win her back for years.

Deacon then remarked that he and Bill were now tied to each other for life, given the recent remarriage of Liam (Scott Clifton) and Hope (Annika Noelle). Bill gave another snarky response: "Like an anchor around my neck." These two men are just plain fun together. Can we have more of these conversations, please?

Heck, there was even an eye-opening moment in the conversation where Deacon said, "At least Liam's nothing like you." At first, Bill looked at him quietly as though he took offense. Then, he surprised us. After a second of self-reflection, he agreed with Deacon. "You're right," Bill said. "We're polar opposites. Lucky for him."

Wait, what's this? Deacon wants to expand Il Giardino? That's what he told Bill. Can you imagine? Of all people for him to share that news with, he chose Bill -- a person he could never even stand to be in the same room with. Has Deacon even told his wife and business partner, Sheila (Kimberlin Brown), that he's thinking of expanding?

We could see and feel Deacon's enthusiasm as he gushed about how his pizzas are selling like hot cakes. Since Bill is an insanely rich businessman, Deacon wanted to get his opinion. "Looking for investors?" Bill asked. He admitted that a decade ago, he would have "run for the hills." But now that he's seen how successful Deacon has been at running Il Giardino, he admitted that he is impressed and said, "You've made a name for yourself, Deacon."

Well, what do you know? We never thought we'd see the day when Dollar Bill Spencer would actually pay Deacon Sharpe a compliment!

Let's see another male friendship besides Ridge and Carter

The only male friendship we currently have on The Bold and the Beautiful is Ridge's (Thorsten Kaye) friendship with Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor). Since Bill doesn't have his trusty pal and confidante, Justin (Aaron D. Spears), on the canvas anymore, it would be fun to see a new bromance blossom between himself and Deacon.

Plus, now that Deke will most likely design for Katie in her new fashion house, Deacon will be forever grateful to Bill for gifting Katie her own design company -- a company where Deke will get the opportunity to prove his worth and grow as a designer. In turn, if Bill does decide to invest in Deacon's expansion plans for Il Giardino, then this could be the beginning of a beautiful (and very unexpected) friendship.

And who knows? It just may drive Ridge batty to see Deacon and Ridge (two men he doesn't like) as friends. Anything that drives Ridge up the wall gets a thumbs up from us, especially since his expectation that Katie's design house will fail is driving us up the wall.
