The Bold and the Beautiful Daily YAPP Recap, December 1: What is even the point of this Dylan-Luna arc?

Welcome to The Bold and the Beautiful Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What happened on The Bold and the Beautiful

Cue the crazy dramatic music build-up, cause Dylan killed Luna — by accident — oh my! Ok, so why is this a big deal? Nobody is broken up over Luna's death. In fact, by tomorrow, we totally expect Steffy to thank Dylan profusely and offer her a reward for her good deed. Sure, she was Finn's daughter, but he is pretty meh over the whole thing. So, um, what's the big deal? Dylan ran down Luna. The police know. Dylan feels guilty. Dylan tells everyone who might care all about it and...now what? What is the point in any of this? This would have been much more interesting had Dylan gone insane after Luna locked her in that closet, somehow known that Luna would be on that road, and run her down on purpose. Then, she could hide her little secret, presenting us with a nice little murder mystery like a proper soap. If Luna was just going to be run down by someone who tells everyone all about what she did, then the driver just could have remained a random, anonymous person. Sure, we get a few dramatic scenes out of this, but it looks as if that's about it. Hence, there was no point to this little tag to Luna's loony story. Again, it feels like Luna's exit was made up on the fly, and the Dylan aspect just adds to our suspicions.
