Welcome to The Bold and the Beautiful Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What happened on The Bold and the Beautiful
Douglas Forrester has been conspicuously missing from The Bold and the Beautiful scene for nearly two years and it's honestly been weird. He might not be Hope's biological son, but he is still her son and his absence from her life never made much sense. In fact, she had legal custody of Douglas when Thomas decided to take their son to Paris after Hope turned down his marriage proposal for the second time. When they returned a few months later for a handful of days, with Douglas calling Paris Buckingham 'Mom,' it was beyond weird. Hope had been Douglas' mom since he was a preschooler and is the only mother he even remembers, but somehow the soap forgot Hope had a son out there all this time. She has barely mentioned him at all, and certainly not mentioned his father. Her love for Thomas was the whole reason Liam and Hope split in 2023. We guess it's time they reunited if Thomas isn't around, but thank goodness Douglas is attending this event. The fact that Ridge and Steffy are not is weird enough, but at least Douglas is there. As an aside, does watching Beth officiate this wedding remind anyone of the time Douglas officiated Hope and Liam's last log cabin wedding? Was that wedding even legal? Is this wedding legal? Does it even matter at this point?
