The Bold and the Beautiful Daily YAPP Recap, December 4: Could Eric's disease be back?

Welcome to The Bold and the Beautiful Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What happened on The Bold and the Beautiful

Something very strange is happening to Eric Forrester, and it's giving us all an eerie sense of deja vu. He is acting the exact same way he did when he was dying of a mysterious ailment two years ago. At first, when this story seemed to be presenting itself, we were a little annoyed with Eric whining about being retired again, but if we revisit Eric's illness and his Finn-induced miracle cure, this could get interesting. We still have no idea what Eric was suffering from or what Finn did to save him, except that it involved a whole lot of blood. Finn only used an experimental procedure to give Eric another chance at life, but there were no long-term studies on it, so what if the illness comes back? It would remove a lot of the silliness from the miracle cure if it weren't such a miracle or a cure after all. And it would add some drama to just another story about Eric feeling like he is old and past his time. Finn might question his skills as a physician, Ridge might once again question how he treats his father, and Eric and Donna will once again realize how short and precious life is. While it might be a bit of a repeat story, if new elements are added, will it be so bad?
